I was quite shocked when my manager told me that I had missed a call and I explained why as I was on my own and I needed to go to the ladies she replied we need to make sure we don’t miss calls. I wasn’t told in my interview that I was required to travel to Tullamarine every 1st Wednesday of the month. My manager also didn’t remember that I had told her during my job interview I was going on holidays in the first two week of June. I also asked if we get a new keyboard as the one I was using was very old. She said she tried to get one but she wasn’t allowed to purchase one for the showroom that day! I worked there for 2 days and my experience wasn’t a good one this job and company was not for me! And I was not paid for the two days which is extremely disappointing so I am glad I made the decision to run when I did!
The good thingsI liked the idea of working in a showroom and having face to face time with customers.
The challengesThe showroom is extremely quite day one not one person came in. Even the phones were quite not busy at all. Very boring not what I thought the job would be! The training was all over the place, I was left on my own day two for half a day to fend and work it out for myself. With hardly any training!

Amazing work like balance in a company that really values progression.
The good thingsExcellent company to work for. Whenever I needed something they are always happy to help.
The challengesThere is always challenges in any company you start at. It is how the company handles that challenges that really makes and breaks everything. Being a bespoke product that they sell there is always difficulties but I feel as a customer service department we really handled them with pride.

I have loved my time at Wynstan thus far, I've learnt so much about product marketing, manufacturing and explored new avenues for marketing.
The good thingsI feel completely supported by my manager for my development and trusted for my opinions, experience and expertise. The team are down-to-earth, super friendly and a pleasure to be around.
The challengesI have learnt to adapt from an investment bank to a family-run business, which was a challenge at first but also a great learning opportunity.

Supportive team and management, loads to learn and achieve, encourages work/ life balance.
The good thingsVery supportive team and management
The challengesCustomer satisfaction communication can be challenging. The role often deals with "challenging" customers and communicating constructively when there is a product issue or delay falls to the showrooms, it's important to be a positive individual and understand the people that come with a customer service role when people are spending $$ for nice things in their home.
