The challengesOther Stormans can't see a female do better them causing a lot of issues for other they feel jealous the manager has preferences for some individual that all day didn't do anything lazy people management should be changed to be a better place fresh Ideas still doing ways from 2000.

Stagnant workplace with no real growth opportunities.
The good thingsFacilities are nice and clean.
The challengesStagnant workplace with no real growth opportunities. The systems are outdated, and management is resistant to change or new ideas. You get paid monthly, but that’s about the only predictable thing here. There’s little room for career advancement, and the overall environment feels stuck in the past.

Work life balance is great. Better working conditions than most company out there.
The good thingsGood pay, flexible working conditions are great plus hybrid work arrangement for some departments.
The challengesThe only challenge is to self upgrade your skills. Slight room for career advancement but overall a good company to work in.

Happy to leave before my probation was up.
The good thingsBasically top tier products, with great potential, products walk out the door
The challengesOutdated or non-existent systems, no appetite for change or improvement. Sales meetings have category for 'Tool of the week', and some even nominate themselves - In this day and age???. Management have no empathy and company values not adhered to by middle managers

I'd a great experience working for Xylem with an amazing boss and incredible teammates. Highly recommend Xylem!
The good thingsClear defined goals & good working & supportive environment are some of the pros of working at Xylem. Xylem walks the talk with regards to sustainability by organising watermark events. One on one catch-up with my manager was so insightful with honest feedback and charting out future career development.
The challengesERP Systems used are still a bit archaic. However there's a constant push for CI in ever domain and there's a plan for an upgrade.

Can be a difficult place to operate in, but if you can separate yourself from this it can be rewarding.
The good thingsSalary package. flexibility with working from home. There are some good people. Good product offering.
The challengesCompany structure can make working effectively difficult. Culture is toxic and fake. Technical ability is not recognised and undervalued. Management don't always see what they really need - if its not in a spreadsheet.

I enjoy working here, its fast paced, stressful at times but very rewarding both personally and financially.
The good thingsFantastic product range, supportive management, local employees are knowledgeable and willing to lend a hand when needed. Left to get on with the role without being micro managed.
The challengesProduct range is huge so learning it is a chunk at a time. Slow to react to changing technology environment.

    Plenty of Potential
The good thingsA product that walks out the door ... A select group of really competent & dedicated staff
The challengesInsipid leadership locally ... departmentalised org structure has delivered a 'Its not my job' mindset ... Unwillingness to invest within Mining geographies, however strong desire to reap revenue streams from these locations, following branch closures

Technically challenging with allot to offer junior engineers in terms of learning.
The good thingsXylem has various respected industry leading brands inclusive in their portfolio. Therefore plenty of opportunities to learn new products, applications and work on different problems to solve are presented. Xylem is where I really \"cut my teeth\" professionally with pumping systems and hydraulics. The applications and product management teams are great, offered mentorship on numerous occasions and generally could not ask for a better team. Factory training provided exposure to global engineering and cutting edge manufacturing technology from within the Xylem group - this greatly accelerated learning and product confidence.
The challengesTraining senior staff while technically being a junior engineer is quite daunting. Some sales staff were employed with little engineering aptitude and made it difficult to work with on occasion. The applications engineering team and projects teams are small and offer limited job opportunities. Left to pursue an product development role for another multinational mining equipment manufacturer.

Would not recommend working for Xylem due to the poor management, support and basic communication on day to day tasks.
The good thingsThe service department was amazing, the floor staff are among the most kind and understanding people I have ever and could have ever worked with and met
The challengesThe lack of support from management, the lack of understanding to the complexities of the role and the utmost disrespect for temp to perm staff is appalling.

Great place to learn develop knowledge and bond with good people
The good thingsXylem has good products and knowledgeable people that are always keen to help. There is good training and mentoring programs also that will help you to understand more about the business. Work-life integration is part of many roles in the company. You can work from home or do flexible hours to figure out your daily needs. The environment is great as most of the peers and superiors get along very well. People are friendly and you can create friends outside office hours here.
The challengesThe wide number of products the company has to provide can be a little overwhelming in the start. In addition, rapid career progression can be complicated because of the structure.

The best company I've worked with to date
The good thingsGood work-life balance. Worked with an awesome team where everybody gets along really well and provide support when someone needs help. The boss / management also thinks of their employees' career progress, so you can be sure there is no career stagnation while in the company. Also all ears when you give suggestions / continuous improvement ideas. They are also generous in providing technical training / mentoring program, which were helpful when it comes to product familiarisation and as stepping stone for your next career move in the company.
The challengesProduct familiarisation after moving into the company from a different industry.

It promised so much but didn’t work out for me. Perhaps if it wrong timing or the wrong department.
The good thingsWorking on a multinational company was a great experience. Xylem Watermark is an excellent corporate initiative that helps many people in developing counties.
The challengesHard dealing with corporate politics. Sales, rental and service departments not working particularly well together.
