I originally enjoyed my job here however I quit after the workload ruined my mental & physical heath
The good thingsThe friends I made with other coworkers.
The challengesThe management is toxic and places an immense amount of pressure on casual employees which is unfair and in some instances against the union statements.

Over promise and under deliver employer
The good thingsLiterally nothing other than it's a paying job
The challengesInadequate training. Underpaid for induction hours. Gave impression of a fun inclusive 'Zam Fam' environment, which was not the case. Understaffed. Staff making and serving food are expected to clean the public bathroom! Discrepancy with what was outlined for the role in the interview to what actually eventuated in the job. Clothes, hair reek after each shift.

Workplace and hours were great, how the manager treats some staff is unacceptable.
The good thingsHours were good and flexible
The challengesThe manager of Dickson Zambreros was rude, impatient and couldn’t communicate. I felt excluded a lot of the time when working there. I was trained online and watched videos on how to do the job. When I couldn’t get it perfect straight away the manager would get very angry and threaten to cut off my shifts and fire me.

This company inspired another level of loathing within me.
The good thingsThe customers themselves were kind and chirpy
The challengesThe crew culture at the store was cliquey and overall abhorrent, team members often stood around on their phones leaving service to new members who had incomplete training from their seniors. The team member responsible for a majority of training did not order correct uniforms for new staff leaving them with ill fitting and dangerous uniforms.

Very hard job to leave since it’s relatively easy, good hours and pay. Overall good first job and vibe
The good thingsThe flexibility and ease of workload and tasks. Also like meeting new people each shift while serving customers.
The challengesThe cleaning is more than you’d think, the experience highly depends on your relationship with co workers and workplace friendliness

Zambrero is an amazing place to work, with a friendly team, equal work loads and great pay. I would highly reccomend working at Zambrero.
The good thingsOnly working with one other person allows you to get to know the other person a lot more and your form new friendships. Some other things that I liked were the set roles, the team members and supervisors had different roles so you weren't overlapping jobs. The team was a very friendly environment.
The challengesThere was nothing at Zambrero that made me want to leave, the whole team was friendly and there was nothing to complain about.

    horrible management
The good thingsNice coworkers Good instore atmosphere
The challengesI was told I would be working 25 hours a week. During my first 4 shifts I was almost completely ignored by management and received little to no training/briefing in how to do things. After the 4 shifts they let me go, because they realised that they didn’t need to hire a new employee in the first place.

It was fun as well as educational and it was a great first experience being causal team member.
The good thingsThe environment is very nice and supportive. I learnt many skills including life skills, cleaning skills and social skills. The managers and supervises are extremely nice and flexible and I never feel afraid or embarrassed when asking them questions or for help.
The challengesLearning and memorizing the menu was a bit challenging but I got used to it pretty quickly.

great team, easy work, massively understaffed (and stressful as a result)
The good thingsGreat team members, fairly relaxed role
The challengesManagement has a real tendency to under-staff. The work often involves working a very busy restaurant with only 1 or 2 people on at a time.
