    Worse work experience ever!
The good thingsNothing. Toxic work environment
The challengesFavoritism is everywhere and management constantly micromanages. There’s no trust, no support, and zero room for growth. A toxic culture that pushes good people out.

The positives do not outweigh the negatives to make this a good place to work. If you're super resilient then it might be worthwhile
The good thingsPay, an extra weeks annual leave and career opportunities.
The challengesTechnology is light years behind their competitors. Micromanagement is big here. No real on boarding process. Need to offer a corporate income protection plan for staff.

Good experience as a contractor, but not worth working as a full-time employee who mostly are paid under market.
The good thingsIT support team is great, management within IT support is good, with a chill environment.
The challengesBeyond the IT support team was atrocious for the most part. Too many layers in management holding up changes, no one taking responsibility, blaming other teams, lack of communication between teams.

The training system taught you the basics. And even included information that wouldn’t be used live. There was no warm introduction to the live system/phones it was just fake it to make it. And with an acceptable communication from management “no news is good news” don’t expect strong development in the role.
The good thingsThere honestly were none. Absolute disappointed.
The challengesOnce out of training any on going support is though office team. Never heard from my team leader unless I reached out. With a client on the line looks and feels so unprofessional

Would apply again at the drop of a hat
The good thingsMade lasting friendship with coworkers and management are some of the best I've ever had - understanding and empathetic and supportive.
The challengesWorkload but management also willing to help

Dreadful company to work for if you have any interest in career progression.
The good thingsFriendly and lovely colleagues.
The challengesWould not recommend working in General Insurance. Pay is below market average. Promotions are usually offered based on connections, not merit. Insurance experience is not valued. On the job 'training' is appalling. Frequent restructures, redundancies and job instability.

    Stressful
The good thingsTeamwork within the department was strong, the work was challenging and interesting.
The challengesSignificantly under-staffed, lack of administrative support, unwilling to modernise or innovate, inefficient processes, lack of defined career pathways, staff overwhelmed by unrealistic expectations and high workload.

The intensity and poor training make it very hard to develop and take on new opportunities.
The good thingsThe people are really good it's a nice friendly environment.
The challengesIt's such a fast paced workplace and can be very overwhelming.

    I'm habitually underwhelmed.
The good thingsThe people are lovely. Outside of the underwriting function, there seems to be some good career paths.
The challengesManagement can't stick at a plan for more than 18 months. They continually chop and change. The work is very boring with no clear career path...except if you're a 20something male who goes to the pub on Thursday and Friday evenings, plays on the staff football team and spouts the corporate rhetoric.
