This program provides a program that uses methods and insights in both psychology and the social sciences. This interdisciplinary training opens up flexible career pathways. These pathways are suitable for students who hope to qualify for further training as clinical psychologists, as well as those who would like to apply their background in psychology and sociology to fields as varied as education and training, health and welfare, and human resource management. More flexible than a standard, single-disciplinary degree, this interdisciplinary program offers students the opportunity to use elective sequences to specialise in a wide range of fields, within and beyond psychology. The program also incorporates an extended industry-based field placement through which they can gain hands-on, practical experience with a professional organisation of their choice.

This course provided an excellent introduction to psychology and an overview of how psychology fits into the world. Interesting and relevant, and delivered by exceptional staff.

An interesting course, with the right amount of challenge. Definitely lacking in regards to practical components, the majority of it was theory based. Placement could be significantly improved to be more relevant to the course and possible career paths of students.

A lot of the lecturers were very supportive and encouraging with the material presented. Others were very non descriptive with the level of quality they wanted within their set assignments. I felt as though there was too much group work. There were plenty of study spaces available although hunting for computers was a very rough time. A vast majority of the learning materials needed were online and very accessable which was super helpful. This course didnt mark on attendence which i found to be fantastic and very freeing about it. Lectures were available online allowing us to go back and listen to whatever part we felt was necessary. Overall the course was a rewarding experience, going in depth about psychology, although there is room for improvement with some staff members teaching the course.

The course provided a well rounded approach to understanding psychology. The learnings I found were easy and relevant to apply in a range of situations both personally and professionally. Even though I did not pursue Psychology as a career, it is extremely relevant in my current role in advertising in helping me to understand consumer behaviour.

Uniquely provides students with the opportunity to enter a 'real' court room and learn how to be an expert witness in a case - very few courses provide this highly valuable experience.
