I had a great experience working with George throughout what turned out to be a long and complex recruitment process. He was consistently proactive, communicative, and supportive, even while both of us were overseas at different times, making the effort to stay connected and keep things moving.
The process itself from the organization’s side was quite slow, with extended timelines, multiple reschedules due to senior stakeholders being unavailable, and delays in generating an offer. What stood out most about George was not only how well he managed these challenges but also how he educated and guided the organization on the need to be more proactive in managing a senior-level recruitment process. He worked hard to align stakeholders, reset expectations, and keep the process on track despite organizational delays.
When the offer was delayed, George was again at the center of resolving issues, ensuring that communication didn’t stop and that I was supported throughout. On top of all this, he even took time out to meet face-to-face over lunch, which was a thoughtful gesture and added a personal touch to the professional relationship.
Overall, George’s efforts made a real difference, and while the organization could have been more proactive in driving the process, George consistently went above and beyond to make sure things kept progressing smoothly.
