YBR has engaged Mike Owen (Supply Chain Synergy) on multiple occasions over the past few years to assist with both recruitment and project management work. It is without hesitation that we have reengaged Mike to assist us. He is extremely thorough in all that he does with specific note being a comprehensive understanding of a brief, completing the required research to best prepare himself for the task required and a very strong capability in being able to read people and situations to maximise the result. He maintains constant and relevant communication with all parties at all times, has a thorough understanding of the requirements and makes the extra effort to ensure that the candidates put forward are not only technically qualified, but are culturally a good fit. I would highly recommend Mike not just for his high level of skill and commitment, but for his integrity, sincerity and honesty in all that he does.

I have worked with Mike on a number of search assignments. What set's Mike apart from many Consultants I have used in the past is his 'living' practice ( not just a use of words) that recruitment is a 2 way process, of equal importance being both the hirer and the candidates overall experience. Mike excels in this through his detailed briefings ,clear and regular communication at each stage of the process, giving both valuable and objective feedback to the parties involved. Mike is always on top of things managing the process in a smooth, efficient and timely manner. Feedback from candidates on their interaction with Mike ( whether they were successful or not) has always been excellent ,which in the industry is most definitely not always the case with other search firms. I would highly recommend Mike for any search assignment regardless of its complexity as Mike will make the process seem that much easier

I met Mike through a job placement for an ASX listed company who were looking for a Project Manager. My dealings with Mike from beginning to end were nothing short of a true professional, who actually showed great empathy and took the time to really to get to know me and what I was looking for in my next role. The detail that Mike explained the role (whilst pointing out the good and bad), greatly assisted in my understating of whether the role at hand was going to be a good fit. Throughout the process, Mike was very diligent in keeping me updated on the status of my application, through to the successful hiring stage. Without doubt Mike exemplifies honesty, integrity and a true gentleman. I would strongly recommend Mike's recruitment services and industry knowledge.

Mike has always had a unique ability to very quickly grasp the requirement of the role and the culture of the organisation in which that role sits. Mike's empathy enables him to understand those that are applying for the role and put forward candidates that add value in both the short and longer term.
