    Don't do it, document everything if your do, you will need it. Don't do it. High staff turnover due to a range of issues mostly tone deaf, wilfully ignorant leadership right to the top. Human rights & mental health not upheld, despite dedicated sector funding for this.

    A rewarding community role overshadowed by poor management and lack of support.
    The good thingsWhat I liked the most about working at Lifeline Direct was the opportunity to engage with the community. Interacting with customers and working alongside dedicated volunteers was incredibly rewarding.
    The challengesLack of support from management and HR made the job difficult. The store manager was uncommunicative and dismissive. HR missed multiple meetings, even regarding mental health. After a supportive area manager left, I felt abandoned and eventually chose to resign.

    Not a bad place to work, worked at far worse places.
    The good thingsA charity serving a very good purpose. Environmentally friendly with the recycling and reuse of donated clothing and goods in the factory and shops. Team spirit and motivation are generally good.
    The challengesFactory work can be physically challenging at times for older people. Lots of branches that seem to be working in isolation. An over or under supply of donated clothing and goods. Constant turnover of senior managers and cultural changes.
