What’s it like working at Acquired Awareness Traffic Management?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees at Acquired Awareness Traffic Management appreciate the modern and well-maintained fleet, as well as the provision of full PPE. The family-run business fosters a supportive culture where management is helpful and employees feel like part of a family. There is a consistent drive for compliance and quality service delivery, with supervisors providing reasonable feedback for improvement. Additionally, work is consistent and pay is acceptable.

However, there are some potential challenges, such as unforgiving rosters and long commutes to work locations. The job can be physically demanding, with long periods of standing, lifting moderate weights, and exposure to inclement weather. There are also potential safety risks from dangerous behaviour from the public and clients cutting corners for operational efficiency. Some employees have noted limitations in provided equipment, such as lack of radios, night wands, and preferred boots. Balancing work and personal life can be challenging, with long hours and shift work making it difficult to spend time at home.

Ruthless management. No interest in staffing conditions. Just plugging people into rosters so they can keep the Energex contract.
The good thingsYou get full PPE, but a good TC will have that anyway.
The challengesManagement is ruthless. Rosters are unforgiving. Sure I can drive two hours to get to my work location but not every day and in my own car.

Happy here, feel looked after and secure in my employment
The good thingsAll equipment required on vehicle is supplied and fleet is modern HR team make a strong effort to only put competent drivers into utes so it's unlikely you'll have to babysit Consistent drive for compliance and quality of service delivery. Supervisors visit often, make gentle requests for improvement where required but are reasonable and not threatening Work is consistent and pay is acceptable
The challengesThey don't issue radios or night wands, not allowed to choose which boots are issued to you so effectively have to buy your own to be comfortable on your feet all day Shift work Sometimes have to be on your feet for long periods and lift objects of moderate weight when setting up static sites Inclement weather, heat, sun, cold Dangerous behaviour from the public Occasional client that wants to cut corners for operational efficiency, but this is a constant issue with any construction industry
