Employees at Alsco Uniforms consistently praise the supportive and caring management, noting that managers have worked their way up and genuinely understand the job's demands. The friendly and collaborative team culture is highly valued, with colleagues helping each other out and working well together. Many employees feel genuinely valued as individuals, with managers taking time to understand their personal circumstances and long-term goals.

Join a union & be familiar with the waste management award & WHS/workplace legislation.
The good thingsReasonably accommodating when needing time off. The team are a bunch of friendly service technicians.
The challengesNo opportunity for growth. They will try & force you to do additional duties not part of your job description. Divisive culture. Favouritism. You wont always have enough time to service all sites. You won't be paid overtime in accordance with the waste management award. You will be threatened or face disciplinary proceedings for questioning decisions, unproven complaints or job related tasks out of your control & not your fault. Unsupportive management. You will be the scapegoat & face complaints or anger from customers on a weekly basis. Mainly issues your manager is meant to resolve but doesn't. Whom is absent, uncontactable or forgets more often than not so you will have to resolve situations on your own. Often supplies run out at the depot so you cant complete work. Senior management are out of touch with real world operations. Your manager decides what they get told, mostly it is withheld. Inadequate PPE - high risk of needlestick injury. Safety meetings are a tick & flick.
