poorly managed business from a manager that was quite naïve.
The good thingsgood tools, some nice people
The challengesManager had no idea about the business & hired the wrong field service coordinator. So bad was the service coordinator , she didn't even know half the suburbs of Melbourne. What a joke !!

More effort into fixing problems rather than micromanaging staff members
The good thingsGreat team, very knowledgeable and excellent service to our customers
The challengesStop micromanaging the team members. Let them get on with the job and put the effort into fixing the issues rather then having multiple teams meetings about them then not doing anything. The amount of meetings had and promised by management things would be fixed then 8 months later, still the same issues. Unfortunately alot of "upper management" there for the sake of being there. Alot of broken promises and not alot of action

WAS a safe flight with a great company. Now a plane in free fall that Superman couldn’t save.
The good thingsEnjoyed working in the trade. Great customers and co workers at a branch level.
The challengesBapcor HR and anybody from regional managers and up. They Don’t Care They are in it for themselves They don’t do the right thing They don’t give a damn Bapcor have destroyed a good business in JAS Oceania. A lot of great workers made redundant or forced to leave because of the incompetence of Bapcor. You are just a number now and the company treats you with disrespect if you work in a branch. Sometimes they don’t even pay correctly and don’t even apologise for their mistake.

Unappreciative after 2 years. Burning out good workers to accommodate bad workers
The good thingsNot a lot. Was more a game of survival and keeping your job as a casual.
The challengesChange of management. Change of leadership it's all very poor. They don't lead by example. Stop sacking good workers and keeping lazy workers. Change the toxic environment.

Inexperienced managers and coordinators, a toxic culture, and seeing good people get pushed out.
The good thingsThe only good thing about working here was the team. The people I worked alongside were fantastic!
The challengesManagement turnover was insane. The company was a revolving door for bosses, who would either walk out or get sacked. They'd then hire the first warm body they found, so you never knew who was in charge or what they were doing.

While some individuals were kind, my overall experience was defined by a deeply toxic culture, lack of genuine support, poor leadership, and an environment that became even more hostile upon resignation.
The good thingsWhile some individuals may seem friendly on the surface, there is absolutely no real support or help from anyone. Management pretends to be supportive, but the moment you reach out for help, they turn on you — shifting blame, undermining you, and making you the problem. It’s a deeply toxic and unsafe environment where asking for support only puts a target on your back. Steer clear of this place.
The challengesThe workplace culture is extremely toxic — far worse than words can truly capture. A few managers, in particular, stand out for their shockingly poor leadership, manipulative behavior, and complete lack of professionalism. The environment is riddled with fear, backstabbing, and hostility, especially when you decide to leave. Expect vindictive behavior, legal intimidation, and a deeply unhealthy atmosphere that no one should subject themselves to. Avoid this place at all costs.

A workplace with strong potential and great teams, but let down by inconsistent leadership and poor cultural follow-through.
The good thingsI genuinely enjoyed my time at Bapcor. The work was challenging, engaging, and fast-paced, which helped me grow professionally. I had the opportunity to work with a great team of people who supported one another and made the workday enjoyable.
The challengesManagement lacked clear direction, with goals changing daily and little regard for staff input. Efforts to uphold company values were discouraged. Redundancies were misused, and the turnover rate—over 1,000 staff per year at one DC—created instability.

There are better companies out there to work for
The good thingsThe everyday team members. Made some great friends you can have laugh with
The challengesAccountability is not imposed on all staff. Training is not provided for new starters or refreshers courses for current staff. I feel like it’s a bit of a dog eat dog world. I was treated somewhat poorly on my way out by my manager after so many years of service. This is not uncommon practice.

The challengesSenior management prioritizes personal advancement over team well-being, often focusing on financial and power gains. There is a lack of support, career growth opportunities, and job security. Widespread dissatisfaction among staff contributes to a toxic work environment.

I was told the company was in a much better place than previously, told that the culture was amazing and that it would be a great place to work, but the reviews here are accurate. It is turnover central, constantly seeing new faces and good people being let go. it's such a mess, even since I left, there are still so many leaving. Honestly, I thought my job before this one was bad but bapcor truly sucked the life out of me. I would not recommend, ever.
The good thingssome of the people, mostly from different stores around the country who were kind and nice to talk to
The challengesworkload is insane, too much expected or dumped on you in such a short time, everyone else is too busy to help so you are stuck and end up getting the wrath of management if you can't complete something in time

    Awful. Avoid at all costs.
The good thingsThe other people in the team.
The challengesEverything else. Leadership does not care about employees both at a store level or head office and this is reflected in the decision making of the company. Leadership team is top heavy and selfish. There is a serious blame culture and the expectation of unpaid overtime and back breaking hours is rife across the whole company. If you like being micro managed in a thankless environment then this is the place for you.

Avoid at all costs if you value yourself. There are better opportunities out there.
The good thingsCo-workers. And clocking out.
The challengesToxic management. Toxic work culture. Very low pay and the new eba is terrible for forklift operators. The revolving door is due to the Toxic management here. The pen pushers upstairs care nothing about anyone in the warehouse. They are just self-serving and feeding their egos. No one's job is safe when the company has decided to make core staff management redundant and it leaves a bad vibe throughout the warehouse with people looking over their shoulders whilst walking on eggshells... hoping they are the next one to be made redundant. Casual staff that bring up safety issues lose their jobs, once they speak up they are not seen the next day. Only permanent staff are safe to highlight safety issues, which makes no sense at all. This company does not live by their own key values. - 'We do the right thing'..... sometimes they do but often they don't. - 'We are in it together'.....definitely not... it's every man for themselves and they will stand anyone's back to do so. - 'We give a damn'..... about themselves not the staff that make the warehouse run. - 'We get it done'.....despite the cost to the staff. The toxicity starts with the warehouse manager and spreads like a cancer to the team leaders, once approachable team leaders are now shut off, rude, and too self absorbed to properly train the casuals entering the warehouse. The turnover is unlike anything I've seen. Most are lucky to survive the week here. They're poorly trained by staff that are under trained themselves. More often than not, casuals ask other staff questions regarding how to use basic features on the Rf gun. Of which they should've been shown when they were being trained. It's not their fault. They need to be trained properly. For the most part the staff both permanent and casual can't wait to leave for the day. They are not happy in this environment. The only reason some have remained is they are afraid of change, leaving their workmates. And too conditioned to the poor treatment. Those that leave find a level of happiness not felt while working for Bapcor. As well, the new eba was not favourable to the staff and many still have a bad taste in their mouth regarding the outcome and many short comings along with the low pay. The company increased its prices with 'inflation' but was hard pressed to increase wages for the staff that make them the money. And no backpay. Do better Bapcor.
