Brunetti began trading at the Faraday street location in 1985. The Angelé family acquired the business in 1991 and transformed the lovely café that it was into a truly authentic Roman Pasticceria. The Angelé family comes equipped with a wealth of knowledge and experience in Pastry and Cafés. The founder, Mr Giorgio Angelé began his training in Rome at the ripe age of 10. In 1956, at the age 23, Giorgio came to Australia with the Italian Olympic team as a pastry chef. What’s it like working at Brunetti?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees at Brunetti appreciate the positive work environment, with friendly and helpful colleagues from diverse backgrounds. They value the flexibility offered in terms of working arrangements and take pride in working for an iconic Italian-style establishment.

However, there are some potential challenges, such as concerns about management practices, including issues with behaviour and potential wage theft. The long trading hours and the possibility of having to work closing and opening shifts can be demanding. During peak hours, the workload can be strenuous, with employees expected to work quickly under stressful conditions. Additionally, opportunities for career progression and educational benefits may be limited.
