    Positive experience
The good thingsFlexibility with changing my part time days each semester to accommodate uni. Work is consistent, not counting down the clock. Support from office manager and senior admin staff who are knowledgeable and helpful. The friends I made.
The challengesIt is one practice area (insurance) and I wanted to try a different area while still studying.

If you want career progression, this is the place.
The good thingsThe great thing about BTL is their ability to create roles where they are needed and promote internally. You are always provided every opportunity to progress and succeed in any role. Management trust and encourage staff to \"do more and be more\" in a supportive friendly environment.
The challengesYou have to be self motivated and driven and provide 100% of yourself, 100% of the time. Everyone has off days and this can sometimes be a challenge juggling demanding work loads.

Highly recommended, best of a big firm in a nicer, smaller package
The good thingsGreat team environment and culture, with very supportive and open management style. Feel supported in career progression and the work provides variety and challenge.
The challengesWork-life balance is difficult during peak times. Limited opportunity to work from home or remotely.

The work environment was isolating and non-supportive. As a support team member (ie. not a lawyer) my work was of a lower priority and I didn't feel valued.
The good thingsAt BTLawyers there are some wonderful, hard working people, who were great to work with, and appreciative of my work.
The challenges- Lack of support from Management and little face-to-face time. - Not supportive or understanding of work-life balance (ie. expectation to work/attend events on non-work days without acknowledgement or recognition of extra work completed). - Ambiguous with feedback and guidance on work. Sometimes no feedback or response to requests at all. - Lack of importance given to non-legal work and employees. Did not feel like a valued employee.
