Happy to have left. Much happier in the DoE state system.

The challengesAdministrators were not supportive of the workload required to do the job. They are a company that takes without being willing to give back. Too focused on success, rather than achieving Christian mission.

My experience at Bundaberg Christian College has been a wonderful season of growth and cementing my teaching practice in a small school community.
The good thingsI have loved working in a smaller school community; Bundaberg is a very welcoming community and allows for fantastic relationships to be built within the school. I've taught year one for two years and loved the opportunity to teach siblings and become really familiar with the curriculum.
The challengesBeing a smaller community, maintaining work-life balance can be a little challenging. My family is also all Brisbane based so travelling most weekends between Bundaberg and Brisbane has been challenging.
