Disorganised, unfair workplace, but great team and enjoyable customer interactions.
The good thingsI had the opportunity to work with a truly lovely team, and the people I worked alongside were supportive, friendly, and made each day more enjoyable. One of the highlights of the role was interacting with a wide variety of great customers on a daily basis, which made the work engaging and rewarding. Overall, the positive relationships with both colleagues and customers were the best parts of the experience.
The challengesI would caution anyone considering employment with this organisation. My experience was largely negative due to a toxic and unprofessional environment. Leadership lacked organisation and clear direction, resulting in constant confusion and shifting expectations. Processes were inconsistent, leaving staff without proper support. There was clear favouritism toward certain individuals, which affected fairness, recognition, and team morale. Concerns raised by employees were often dismissed, with little effort from management to listen or improve conditions. Most concerning was leadership behaviour, which was authoritarian and undermining, creating a culture of pressure rather than support. This made it difficult to feel valued or secure in the role. Overall, the workplace lacked accountability, structure, and respect. I would not recommend this employer to those seeking a fair and supportive environment.
