A difficult place to create meaningful change. I have genuinely enjoyed working alongside caseworkers who are committed to achieving meaningful change and positive outcomes for children. Their dedication to supporting families is commendable.
Regrettably, the agency does not adequately support the important work these caseworkers are striving to accomplish. There is a pervasive poor culture across the organisation, which appears to prioritise growth over the development of appropriate policies, procedures, and support structures.
Despite the large number of individuals in leadership roles, there is a noticeable lack of effective leadership. Instead, a culture of micromanagement prevails—often stemming from a limited understanding or lack of expertise within their areas of responsibility.
