Poorly supported FIFO role with high staff turnover, and regular unpaid work beyond contract.
The good thingsThe FIFO lifestyle allows a full week off to forget about work and relax.
The challengesInconsistent management, minimal support from upper management on site, high staff turnover with constant training, heavily reliant on agency staff to fill vacant roles. Regular unpaid overtime beyond contracted hours, ongoing pay issues, and very little on-site presence from upper management.

Extremely poor management , and hiring skills.
The good thingsMy team mates , we have had to work together , as management let's tasks fall
The challengesEverything , toxic managers, no room to be higher in the company, over worked , under paid for skill level. Management treat their staff extremely poorly . Employees with 0 experience put in roles as of lack of supervisors. No allocation of fresh water , Completing online training for hours with no pay . You are a number !

Worst company I have ever worked for
The good thingsSome of the people you meet
The challengesBy far the worst camp "managment" I have ever come across. The operations "manager" needs a new career path and an attitude change. Shows that CC as a whole is not a great company.

Not worth the effort for what you are paid
The good thingsResidents are very grateful
The challengesNavigating too many levels of 'authority'. Grouping of team workers depending on backgrounds. Catering team very complicated, making up their own rules according to their mood. Big level of family ties in the business.

work hours very tight. there is no proper training for new staff, mostly online training.

The challengesmanagement don't know and care whats happening at work. Leader doesn't have leadership and communication skill. Staff just a body to do the job.

Catercare can be a good place to work, depending on management and staff. Pays okay, not the best. Stressful and away from home a lot. Not worth it. Watch out for gossip and toxic workmates.
The good thingsSome managers were ok. Others were toxic. Staff were quite good but always a massive turnover and can never keep staff because they don't care enough too. Management would rather keep contracting staff happy then actual staff working at the site. Residents at camp site were great.
The challengesManagement needs work. Gossip was rife in the workplace and caused a lot of trouble especially because of one of managers spreading it like wildfire.

Not worth the time nor money for the stress
The good thingsIt's a job for now. And the clients
The challengesManagement are not supportive. 90% of shifts are short staffed Training inadequate Employees are not held responsible for inadequate work. Good workers are always in the firing line while unreliable slack workers are rewarded and get away with everything.

If they looked after their staff they wouldn’t have people leave every five minutes.
The good thingsPeople I worked with
The challengesDespite their claim that there are opportunities for career advancement this is not true. Expected to do overtime at very short notice. Very high staff turnover.

Run! Their values are 'care, pride and community' but this is far from true!
The good thingsNone at all. Run, run, run!
The challengesToxic management, overworked, if short staffed - you're expected to carry out the role of 2 people in the same amount of time. Underpaid and not valued as an employee. Not enough hours in the day to carry out your expected tasks. Staff misconduct within the workplace is not taken seriously - when taking it to uppermanagement it is just laughed off.

    Lausy.
The good thingsI enjoy working with some of the staff as they are really good team players. Unfortunately, management does not care at all about their worker we are just another number in their sheets.
The challengesHR is not organized. Managment does not care that you have to do extra tasks every day because of their poor management skills. They treat you very rudely.

The good thingsThe residents! They are amazing and I love seeing them every day! The Cater Care staff hugs to all!
The challengesAgency staff, they are different all the time and have no experience in Aged Care. Having NO support from your Ops Manager when CA's or Chefs don't show and you have to do 3 jobs at once including cooking for the day!

    Don’t waste your time.
The good thingsClocking off and my week off. Certain staff but the good ones always left. Unfortunately the staff that you didn’t want always hung around.
The challengesUpper management are shocking. Promise the world and deliver nothing. They have no idea what is going on in their camp sites and have zero care for mental health. Recruitment need to be re-trained on hiring staff.
