Purposeful work with a clear direction forward
The good thingsCESPHN's role in the healthcare space is an important one, therefore work has meaning and can have impact. General positives, include: plenty of internal opportunities to grow and lead, kind people, flat-ish hierarchy/approachable people, and flexible hours. I've learned a lot and am on now moving onto new challenges.
The challengesLike many not for profits, resources are limited and processes can be lacking. However, there is a growing contigent of change champions who have a continuous improvement mindset. Fortunate to have worked within a high performing team with a responsive manager and GM.

In my experience, I was able to grow professionally and transition into new roles that offered me more responsibility and opportunity. It has a very flexible working environment which lets you work whichever way is best for you. The managers I worked under were all very supportive and mentored me to develop professionally.
The challengesAs with all not-for-profits, you are trying to do as much as you can with the resources you have. My general manager and direct managers were all very responsive to any issues that came up so I always felt supported.
