Great experience - really enjoyed my time with this company and was sorry to say goodbye.
The good thingsThe team members make the company. Friendly for the most part and social. The company really does care about its members. Management is approachable and always available to their members.
The challengesManagement red tape for everything.

Not a great place and organisation to work for if you want to grow
The good thingsA few good people still around
The challengesThe management have no clue how to run the company. As a consultant you are only asked to sell your capabilities to clients and get them to work with you. No interesting projects. for such a large global brand, the Australian location is disappointing. Hardly any career advancement opportunity. When the world is moving to cloud, you will be left behind working on legacy systems.

Great organisation to work for, what you put in is what you get out.
The good thingsVarious training and mentoring opportunities and opportunities to work in similar roles with multiple clients either locally, nationally or abroad Supportive and inclusive company culture - great colleagues to work with both locally and abroad. Good benefits and opportunity to own shares in the organisation.
The challengesBonus scheme dependant on performance of the entire business unit, not based on your office location. However, this can also be good when your location does not have a great year.

Happy with the work environment and employee benefits.
The good thingsGreat working environment, convenient location and work/life balance. Opportunities for career development and exposure to diverse clients. Good benefits for employees including the Share Purchase Plan program and the organisation of great social events.
The challengesVery competitive market at the moment so not many new opportunities as in previous years at Logica.

Been working for CGI close to 15 years and still loving it, because they are supportive your dream is yours to create.
The good thingsCGI supports career development. Gives bonus appropriately.
The challengesNone as I can always communicate with the management freely to resolve any concerns.

Great people who are unfortunately lacking appropriate leadership and not well respected from above.
The good thingsGreat people, great location, varied work, flexibility
The challengesMetrics and management especially locally. People placed in people management roles who shouldn't be, then demanding \"respect\" instead of earning it as a leader

Good Team, lacks directions for Pacific region.
The good thingsThe Finance Team & my Direct Managers and colleagues.
The challengesSenior Executives and above. Hierarchical structure is enforced & very restrictive. No knowledge of the Business and current Australian environments. Systems are cumbersome, restrictive and control is so rigid.

If you are happy to stay in the same position and not looking to future develop your skill set, this is a good place for you
The good thingsAs long as your work on Project, your working hours can be flexible, come to work early and leave work early. If you need to get a document done and avoid the distraction at work, you can work from home after approving by your manager.
The challengesNo Training provided. Management believe that if you want to develop your career, you should use your own time and your own money. So you will back stuck at the same skill level if you are waiting to receive training from the company.

    Where hope goes to die
The good thingsSome of the people in their walls are real thought leaders.
The challengesIf you are onsite, dont expect to see a manager - they would rather sit in Box Hill. If you interview, ask for a tour around the office - then make you're decision

Generally positive over a long period of time (Logica phase) but not a great place over the past 2 years
The good thingsThe company has had many terrific people working for it over the years but lots have left over the past 2-3 years disillusioned over the management of the company and lack of direction
The challengesThe ultra competitive landscape in the IT business is proving very difficult for CGI especially in the ITOutsourcing space with the pure players (Indian competitors) based solely on price

    Good work environment, nice culture
The good thingsI belong to tools team in CGI. Good thing here is we get good career opportunities. If you are frank with your manager and ready to accept mistakes, manager supports you or motivates you to the extent he can.
The challengesThere is nothing as challenges as such. But yeah, I personally dont like few of the policies like lead analyst cannot have reportees under him like that. But that just off the case. But overall, nothing as such. These type of things are not stopping me to do my work.

Lack of work with the company left little confidence in managers.
The good thingsLarger company means that the percs are there, Head office is in a good location.
The challengesCompany seems to be mismanaged from the top down in australia. Working with managers that are stuborn and stuck in the \"old\" way of doing things. Was hard to work \"smarter\" not harder.
