COPE is a family that is the greatest part of this family business.
The good thingsThe people at COPE are amazing easy to get along with and we work great together. Every day is different which is great. It does not matter what position you hold we all help each other.
The challengesCurrently in progress our depot and warehouse are in different location but soon we will be under the same roof in a state-of-the-art depot & warehouse.

A challenging but fulfilling workplace with genuine teamwork and operational responsibility.
The good thingsWorking at COPE has been a rewarding experience from an operations and leadership perspective. The Tasmanian team is highly committed, practical, and customer-focused, with a strong sense of pride in the work they do. There is a genuine family-oriented culture at the local level, and the support and values demonstrated by the Farrell family have been a positive influence on the business. In my role, I’ve been trusted with responsibility, encouraged to problem-solve, and given exposure to a wide range of operational and people-management challenges. It’s a fast-paced environment that requires adaptability, accountability, and strong communication, all of which have contributed significantly to my professional growth.
The challengesAs with many growing, multi-state organisations, alignment between operational realities and broader strategic decision-making can sometimes be challenging. The industry itself is demanding, and workloads can fluctuate, requiring flexibility and resilience.

A dynamic organisation with strong learning opportunities and a clear focus on delivery and growth.
The good thingsWorking at COPE offers a high level of accountability, exposure to varied and interesting work, and opportunities to learn and grow. The culture encourages ownership and practical problem solving.
The challengesAs a growing organisation, priorities can shift quickly and the pace can be demanding at times. Fortunately, there is a supportive culture within the business to help navigate change and manage competing demands

    Interesting & disappointing
The good thingsGreat niche market. High satisfaction with medical installs.
The challengesInternal politics. Division between set ice areas. If you’re not in the “boys” club and turn a blind eye to safety & workplace behaviour you’re not wanted. Senior managed wants “yes” men only.

FUN WHEN ON THE ROAD SOLO. BORING AND TOXIC IN WAREHOUSE.
The good thingsBeing on the road solo.. the bbq's once a month.
The challenges the bad management and the way things are run there. Plus it's not a family company. Don't believe a word that's being said there. When u want more work u are being overlooked. Not a simple care in the world. Supervisors not even bothered to help solve delivery issues they just throw in at u to do. Avoid this place at all costs. DONT APPLY

The good thingsThat I got out before my back was ruined . You are just a number to Cope . Unless you are buddies with the CEO .

I don’t feel I get paid the correct amount for the work I’m expected to do with the limitations and conditions required from me.
The good thingsIt’s full time work, however you need to work overtime to make a decent weekly wage
The challengesYou are given little information on upcoming schedules, you only find out when you finish during the day and are only told the following start time as you clock off, making personal arrangements very difficult during the week. Generally you get the feeling the management have no trust in you or your abilities whatsoever.
