What’s it like working at Danny Met Sally?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees consistently praise the values-driven culture at Danny Met Sally, highlighting the organisation's genuine commitment to compassionate, person-centred care. The supportive team environment is a standout feature, with colleagues described as collaborative and helpful, particularly during busy periods. Staff appreciate the approachable management, opportunities for career progression, and the autonomy and trust they are given to make an individual impact. Many employees feel their work makes a meaningful difference in the lives of participants, which contributes to a positive and rewarding workplace experience.

However, there are some potential challenges to consider. As a newer organisation, some internal processes and systems are still being refined as the company grows. The workplace can be fast-paced and dynamic, requiring staff to prioritise effectively and adapt to competing demands, particularly during busy periods. Working in the disability sector naturally presents challenges, including diverse participant needs and navigating the complexities of the NDIS. One employee raised concerns about workload expectations, including pressure to work unpaid overtime, though this was not a common theme across other reviews.

People & Culture Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re pleased to hear that your initial experience felt welcoming, as fostering a supportive and inclusive environment is important to us. However, we’re disappointed that you felt feedback was not encouraged, and that training and systems did not meet your expectations.
