Over 40 years ago, Paul Burchell was working in a large accounting firm in Sydney when entrepreneurial spirit took hold and he began a business cleaning hotels. When the family moved to Newcastle, he began one of the first carpet steam cleaning companies called Monster Magic. With TV advertisements which featured Paul grinding mud into his mother-in-law’s carpets (and it really was Paul’s mother in law’s carpet) and then cleaning them, the business became well known in Newcastle and the carpet steam cleaning business took off.Source: This is an extract from the company's own website

Disappointing, Toxic Workplace
The good thingsAlways in a different location, with a different customer doing a different service.
The challengesThe lack of communication. The fact that there is no balance. Managment likes to tell you, what you would like to hear but never act or implement any sort of changes. Would rather waste money on hiring and training rather than their long-term loyal employees. Very toxic environment.

The good thingsvehicles are well maintained, and equipment and training is provided
The challengesAlways pushing for the job to be done faster. only way to complete the work is to cut corners or overcharge.
Bookings done over the phone are always wrong, and just assigned to you with no ability to correct them or negotiate.
CEOWe are sorry that you didn't enjoy your time with Electrodry and whilst we appreciate your feedback we strongly disagree with the statement that one needs to cut corners or overcharge. Electrodry monitors every employees hours and it's quite rare to have someone consistently work more than 38 hours per week. We do understand that traffic can make things challenging at times and some days don't go to plan, but the hours do consistently balance out.

Over 12 years working with this company I have have been extremely satisfied with the job and progressed from a technician to management and seen so much off wonderful country
The good thingsThis job has alot of pros that out way the cons.
Variety in services we offer so we aren't doing the same thing daily or in the same place .
Friendly work environment starting from management down to the office staff and employees.
Rewarding outcomes that brings satisfaction not only to yourself but the customers.
I have worked with a few companies but this one shows empathy and encouragement
The challengesAs in any job roll from technician to management along as you can think outside the square, on your feet or not be afraid to ask the questions if you don't know the answer you won't find alot of challenges
