    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees at Energy Safe Victoria appreciate the supportive colleagues and friendly environment, as well as the flexibility to work from home. However, there are some potential challenges, with some employees noting issues with management competence and difficulty in getting unified positions across departments. Additionally, a recent restructure aimed at improving the organisation's functioning may not have been fully successful, and there are suggestions that the organisation may need to refine its approach to regulating and relating to the industries it oversees.

Good organisation. A few challenges but so many positives to go along with it.
The good thingsThe Team are very helpful, and look out for each other. Having the flexibility to WFH is also a big plus.
The challengesLike anywhere, getting a unified position from all departments can be challenging but with persistence you end up bridging gaps.

In the midst of a messy, drawn-out transformation, the organisation hasn't quite figured out what its purpose is. It has minimal cut-through with the public and isn't taken seriously by those it regulates. An ongoing transformation has created unhappy staff and some very good people have departed as a result.
The good thingsThere's a small cohort of people who ensure their teams maintain a decent culture - albeit with difficulty. Salaries are good, but that comes at a cost.
The challengesThe workplace presents a pleasant face, but it won't take you long to realise it's not what it seems to be. There is widespread incompetent management and as such a toxic work environment where trust does not exist.

Good organisation, but a bit directionless.
The good thingsESV has a complex mandate but the scope of it is well understood in the business. The people are very friendly.
The challengesIn recent times, a restructure to improve the functioning of the organisation seems to have backfired on itself. It has a solid vision and aspirations, but it's not clear to me that it understands how to regulate or relate to the industries it regulates.
