Come for the training, stay for the discounts, leave from the mistreatment and the dehumanising work environment. The good thingsThe staff discounts are reasonably good, their uniform policy is quite relaxed and they're willing to take people with little-no experience, could be a stepping stone if you want a career in retail.
The challengesBeing constantly hounded about budgets, KPIs and targets, while no regard is taken for factors outside of your control (low foot traffic, poor quality product, stock levels, etc). The management has generally little regard for you as a person, or to your limits as an individual. Any budget shortfalls will likely be blamed on your sales skills. They have little regard for your life outside of work, and may often ask you to sacrifice your studies/personal life by doing more hours and coming in on your days off.
