    appalling, stay well away!
The good thingsI got a staff discount on clothing
The challengesTerrible management from store and area managers, really unsupportive and unkind. I was not trained at all, then shamed and penalized because I didn't do the job as they expected me to. They began to cancel my shifts, sometimes without telling me until I arrived at work. No communication about what was happening with my employment, I assume because they were under-resourced and didn't have the capacity.

    Would not recommend
The good thingsStore staff and great customers
The challengesUnprofessional and unsupportive management. A chaotic organisation that constantly put managers and store staff under pressure. Expected to work extra hours with no pay, do not care about you having breaks.

Can be a fun place to work as long as you have a good team. Relatively easy job if your a people person and enjoy fashion. Unfortunately cliquey, gossip culture isn't weeded out but encouraged due to immature management. Leading to unfair bias.
The good thingsClothing incentives, vibrant clothing and artist collaborations. Great customers.
The challengesMiddle management terrible. Cliquey, gossip culture. Unfair bias towards staff

yikes, wouldn't recommend working here to anyone
The good thingsThe single good thing about this job was the friends I made within our store
The challengesProblematic middle management and incompetent upper management, the consequences of which are shoved onto the store workers/ store managers. Blatant favouritism among stores and to specific staff members

A Poorly managed company consisting of cruel gossips, with average pay and few benefits.
The good thingsNo weekends for assistant managers, clothing allowance every month for full time employees, opportunity to earn cash bonuses if you are working at the right retail locations, nice customers generally (for a retail store)
The challengesVery poor management both in most stores and higher up, toxic workplaces with cultures of gossip, ostracism and social cliques, very high turn over, disorganised company processes and bizarre chain of command, average pay

This is the best job that I have had in the industry I feel so lucky to be able to come and be creative everyday with an incredible team to work alongside . The work here is forever inspiring and working along so many products and designs always pushing the boundaries creating stand out one of a kind designs for the Australian retail market .
The good thingsThe company encourages creativity and not afraid of trying newness . It it the most creative job that I have had in the industry always pushing the boundaries. The people here are some of the most experienced in the industry and a family team environment very lucky to be working within such a talented team.
The challengesSeason after season bringing newness and handwriting is a challenge but an exciting challenge to take on each season .

Able to grow with the company, an exciting, challenging and rewarding experience.
The good thingsSenior Management and Head office staff amazing to work with along with on the ground managers and teams. No two days were the same. Was hectic, crazy, yet challenging and fun! Great Product. Was supported in my various roles within the company at all times.
The challengesTime difference interstate, could feel at times as though the day never ended but that is basically the most challenging part. Everything else is just typical fast paced retail which is exciting not difficult

    Traumatic
The good thingsThe other people you worked with
The challengesInappropriate management. Unrealistic expectations. Horrible planning. All they do is pump out cheap clothes as fast as they can and don't have any attention to people's actual needs.

I love the people I work with. But the upper management are a reason this will be my last ever job in the retail industry. Truly heartbreaking as I genuinely love the brand I work for. I feel very let down.
The good thingsFree clothes Team in store are wonderful Customers are amazing
The challengesUpper management Confusing and unrealistic expectations They really have no idea what they are doing up there. Really makes me wonder if there are people with retail experience working there or someone they hired out of desperation

The good thingsThe staff - the casuals and other managers were amazing.
The challengesUpper management was terrible. Worst experience of my life. So much stress. Overworked. Not valued. Not trained properly. No care For staff. They were Just here to give shifts to friends, not caring about the other casuals in the store.

You know when things happen that just make you scratch your head? This is a common occurrence.
The good thingsThe people you actually work with on a day-to-day basis
The challengesAbsolutely befuddling upper-level management. Personally, I am surprised the company manages to stay afloat - staff turnover is so high it's like riding the city loop train in peak hour.

Learned a great deal from some fantastic people, but would not recommend the business to anyone.
The good thingsSome of the staff (casual and management) were wonderful, caring, and dedicated. They were often well and truly overqualified and regularly under appreciated.
The challengesPoor-to-average work conditions, terrible stock management and marketing, appalling upper-middle management.

Don’t be fooled by their happy faces!
The good thingsStaff are all super genuine and lovely
The challengesManagement and systems are outdated and don’t encourage change or development. Very negative atmosphere received from upper management more so than I have experienced at other companies. Didn’t follow correct procedures for training and management development. I don’t remember working with anyone that was happy with the idea of working for Factory X.

Loved the in store team but was beaten down by head office
The good thingsThe in store teams were all great
The challengesUpper management doesn’t seem to care at all for their staff. Retail doesn’t do as well as they used to so instead of addressing this they attack the in store management team and staff.

Mismanaged company with extremely high staff turnover and little support
The good thingsOpportunity to pick up a lot of shifts due to instabilities within teams
The challengesVery poor upper and middle management. Incredibly high staff turnover for all positions meaning no job is ever done thoroughly or fully. Little to no staff training - left to other sales assistants. No brand culture actually practised in store. Paranoia from upper management about theft from customers and staff. No stock takes EVER to ensure accuracy of inventory or ever know if there is a theft issue. A LOT of holes in the business from top to bottom.

    Mystery Shopper

A bit of a mixed bag when it came to mystery shopping for Factory X
The good thingsMy favourite part of Mystery shopping for Factory X is the flexibility around the hours or time you put in for the mystery shopping program. Ideal for students, stay at home parents, or people already have another job. The choose the hours you want to work is really great!
The challengesThe bit that bothered me the most, is the limitations to the amount of mystery shops you can do, basically they won't let you mystery shop the same store more than once a fortnight or a month, overall this really impacts on your pay. Moreover experienced there is issues with management and poor communication.

Has a lot of potential, but will not be met under it's upper management culture.
The good thingsTeam members and the product. Low level career progression.
The challengesErratic management decisions and culture creating an unstable work environment. High expectations and pressure to achieve goals but no practical support to achieve KPI's. Achievements are rewarded and recognised, however are unfortunately quickly forgotten. Surveillance via security camera used as a 'motivational technique' for sales performance.

The good thingsUnfortunately they were few and far between but the only good things were my direct line manager and some of the great friends I made.
The challengesLack of structure, lack of training and development, lack of support, unreasonably demanding senior management
