    Room for improvements
The good thingsThe talent that’s around can’t be questioned. The guests do tend to make your day.
The challengesCoping with a management that’s utterly discombobulated. The environment is extremely political and people will undercut you or make your views seem either redundant or turn against you.

A laborious average paying job disguised as something corperate and professional
The good thingsIt's a beautiful building to work in, and some of the functions were often breathtaking
The challengesIt's often very long hours, between 8 - 13 hour shifts. Since the team is often a bit younger, the management team are very patronising and there's not much room for growth.

Front office management should improve. work staffs are amazing.
The good thingsPeople you work with are amazing and they'll teach you as much as they can and help each other out.
The challengesManagement demands too much from staffs. Always saying that we work as a team and ask for help if needed but the moment you call for help they're too busy and just ignore you, ended up with a department getting slammed. Staff and colleague got yelled in front of the guests.

Great international company, with pretty good traveling benefits.
The good thingsGreat company to work for , if you’re taking hospitality as career. Possibilities for transfers and move between countries and continents, but for management, so you have to work your way up. Also, lots of opportunities for growth, for those who are ambitious and hard working.
The challengesUsual hospitality challenges, work-life balance , for management . For base levels associates tho , hourly payed , pretty good working hours.

Amazing place to work, great culture, awesome opportunities
The good thingsThe culture is amazing. The Hyatt family spirit of the company certainly rings true at Grand Hyatt Melbourne The culture, purpose, and values of Hyatt are incredible and something that gets lived everyday The perks - who doesn't love free accomodation, an amazing employee restaurant, and a whole bunch of fun random activities organised throughout the year from the HR department. The hotel is willing to spend money on tools, equipment and innovations to make it better. As long as you can show ROI and the proper background, it'll be a yes.
The challengesWages just like in all hospitality ventures are on the lower end of the scale. Work life balance can be a challenge sometimes - but when you love what you do, it doesn't feel like work!
