So far my best working experience. The good thingsFantastic team working environment, friendly, great if you love working outdoors and getting fitter as walking up and down bush or coastal land etc will do that to you. Very supportive supervisors and managers who will also help you to create, edit and enhance your resumes and cover letters if you are new to, or struggle with job-search. I listed the pay as low as you do get paid under a minimum wage due to the fact it is a government volunteer and work experience program, but I think it is a bonus to be paid for the role in general.
The challengesWorking in the heat, water breaks and being careful not to over exert yourself on very hot days are essential. Keeping an eye out for dangerous wildlife such as venomous snakes and poisonous spiders. Once the project ends you will have a reference and work experience for sure, but as for being able to move up within any particular company or that industry it is a little more difficult, needing things such as a licence and car for most bush regen jobs and the Green Army itself has finite projects that come to an end.
