Fair work place with good people and lots of opportunities for professional growth

The good thingsThe multicultural staff are really good to work with positive attitudes. Work culture is rapidly improving and everyone has the opportunity to make suggestions for continuous improvement and OHS. Clean work environment, everyone is treated equally, a lot of opportunities for free training onsite during work hours. Many certifications offered in meat processing, first aid, cpr, leadership and quality assurance. You can apply and transfer between departments onsite and shifts so you can find the most compatible role/shift. Lots of OT offered at great rates. You can get Time in lieu for public holidays and less % pay so you can have more days off paid.

The challengesIt’s a cold work environment and it takes some getting used to. Sometimes communicating is hard between the cultures and English not being most people’s first language but everyone’s sense of humour makes up for it, everyone is pretty patient and you get used to accents/pronunciation differences the more you work there. Not very flexible for people to change to work part time.
