    Betrayed by management.
The good thingsWorking with others committed to high quality patient care.
The challengesLike many government health departments, if you do as you’re told and don’t question processes, you don’t become a target. Being an Ex-ambulance officer and holding a Masters degree in WHS, I dared attempt to make suggestions to improve both worker safety and patient cate. I believe this was openly praised; but covertly interpreted as a threat to my immediate position. Big mistake. If you wish to be a PTO with HealthShare NSW, you need to be quiet, do your job and don’t question anything or make suggestions to improve their systems.

You couldn’t pay me enough to return to Healthshare linen services, the psychiatric help i require now as a result is horrifying.
The good thingsSome of the people and certain managers were brilliant, the job itself wasn’t too hard, you could do it in your sleep.
The challengesThe operations manager is always on a power trip, production supervisor has no clue how to be a supervisor and has no awareness on how to deal with employees who have complex needs such as a mental illness that can be highly reactive at times.

Progressive public sector organisation which values diversity and flexibility
The good thingsProgressive and growing state-wide organisation providing hybrid working options for corporate positions as well as workplace flexibility and a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion.
The challengesCan be challenging to make the right connections across the geographically dispersed organisation while working remotely but assume these challenges will be overcome in time.

Perfect place if you need to relax whilst earning ok money.
The good thingsPerfect place if your aim is to fly under the radar as the management has absolutely no idea what is going on.
The challengesIt is a pedantic environment that fails to understand the big issues which need to be addressed. Any feedback provided is reciprocated with defensive responses or aggressive behaviour. As there is no way to change things, I suggest that you just relax and go along with everyone else.

The challengesSometimes it can not be challenging enough. In my own opinion. Others may struggle. It can be repetitive.

Opportunities to drive massive performance improvement if you can only overcome the bureaucracy and fiefdoms.
The good thingsSome good people but unfortunately the organisation has opted to hire ex-consultants and so while lots of flash and noise not much in the way of progress.
The challengesNavigating bureaucracy and fiefdoms presents and on-going challenge.
