    Reconsider working here.
The good thingsEasy to rise up the ranks. Training is good in the beginning.
The challengesHead office and management are unsupportive. Money is the number one concern, and the health of the patient is a distant second concern. Incompetence and poor performance from some are ignored and emboldened by lack of action. This includes everyone from the entry-level jobs to management. Wages are highly uncompetitive, and are 10-20% lower than state-run hospitals depending on grading. Extrememly high turnover as a result.

A place where new comers are not welcome
The good thingsThe patients as well as the medical staff
The challengesWas the worst admin environment. If you want a place where you are iced out, have no one make an effort to welcome you and worse, help you in the role, then work here. Stay away!

    The good thingsTemperature controlled
The challengesThe leadership would make up things for no reason.

Great purpose with culture that is slow to progress.
The good thingsThe flexibility on work mode. The people are generally nice and were very approachable.
The challengesVery slow in getting things done. A lot of working in silos and teams / sites doing their own thing rather than investing in best practices.

    Would not recommend.
The good thingsThe pay was ok. Pretty good hourly rate
The challengesThis was a very toxic place to work. They do not train the admin staff properly and then blame the staff when mistakes are inevitably made. When staff are performing poorly, it is usually because of bad management. They seem to have very high staff turnover and after working there it is no surprise as to why. There are plenty of other places to work with good pay and a much friendlier, welcoming and supportive environment.

Times have changed for this company. It is no longer what it once was.
The good thingsMostly friendly, caring and supportive workmates. Scenic location.
The challengesExtremely toxic work environment with little to no work-life balance and a very incompetent upper management team that has heavily mismanaged the site often playing favourites and lacking accountability. High amount of overtime every day and every week as well as the previously mentioned factors leads to burnout and high staff turnover rates.

Great work culture, fantastic management. Plenty of career progression opportunities as the company is rapidly expanding.
The good thingsSupportive management, fantastic team, great work culture, plenty of work flexibility and career progression opportunities. Initiatives by upper management to seek employee feedback, and taking action based on that feedback.
The challengesAs the organisation is expands both domestically and internationally, changes can be frequent and abrupt - it can be challenging keeping on top of everything.

I'm doing my bit at Icon to deliver cancer care and pharmacy services to people around Australia and the world.
The good thingsThe company exists to deliver healthcare to people in need. I like being part of a team that supports this.
The challengesIt's busy, so you need to be good at prioritising things.

Toxic administrative work environment. You do not want to work here!!.
The good thingsNurses, Radiation therapists and Doctor team are lovely to work with. Patients are lovely.
The challengesBad treatment to new admin staff members. Baiting them & reporting them to management saying they don't do their work. Just because they dislike them & feel they are a not a suitable fit to their Privy team. Other staff also left for same reason.

Management hire friends and aren't accountable for shortcomings. Clinical staff aren't treated as well as rest of organisation. High turn over and burnout of highly skilled people.
The good thingsOpportunity for growth if you're lucky enough to have a favourable situation. Network of centres works well for growth if you're flexible in location.
The challengesPoor work life balance as everyone tries to achieve goals that are unrealistic with small staffing. Paid 25% less than public sector for same work. Clinical staff not given time for training or development.

    Meaningful Work
The good thingsI love the variety in my job - no two days are the same. My team is inclusive and I feel supported by my manager. I was offered all the training I needed to set myself up to successfully complete my job.
The challengesIt can get really really busy at times - but that's the Healthcare industry for you.

I love working for an organisation who truly values their employees and supports them in the workplace. The culture at Icon is great and I have an amazing team who make coming to work each day a positive experience.
The good thingsI have worked for Icon for 5 years and have had a positive experience. I have been supported by my leader with development opportunities and have been fortunate enough to have the flexibility to allow great work life balance.
The challengesIcon Group is an organisation that is constantly growing and evolving, and there is never a quiet moment, or down time. The pace is very fast which can be motivating but also tiring at times.

    Rewarding, Interesting, Empathy Driven
The good thingsI really enjoy working with colleagues who are passionate about what they do. We build each other up, learn from each other, and celebrate our successes. As the company grows I can see so many opportunities to move into niche roles that utilise my skills with parts of my personality that I had never thought possible
The challengesSupporting our patients through their treatment journey can be a truly rewarding experience, but it can be tough to see people I've come to care about struggle. It can be oh so hard for them and you never like to see someone in pain. Being there to help si the best we can do

I genuinely see my career growing at Icon and really do feel like I'm making an impact by supporting the community.
The good thingsI've had the privileged to progress my career with the support of proactive leaders. There are so many amazing projects underway and the growth is extraordinary. If you put your hand up, you will genuinely be given the opportunity to learn and grow.
The challengesIt is a fast paced environment and the company is constantly evolving, so you need to have the ability to keep up with that.

Probably worse job I had, glad to have left.
The good thingsNice people to work with.
The challengesManagement. They refuse to address concerns you raise and are happy for you to resign and hire a new employee hoping they don't raise the same concerns. Huge staff turnover.

Certain people in management thought it was acceptable to target certain members of staff under them which made going to work very stressful and unbearable.
The good thingsThere were some lovely and supportive staff but sadly they left or never stayed very long. Patients were lovely too.
The challengesOverworked and understaffed, with promises of change and more staff from management which never happened.

Unfortunately Company has lost its way as it’s grown.
The good thingsEnjoyed working with the patients. Worked there for many years and staff were valued and appreciated.
The challengesStaff cutting causing extra stress and work load on remaining staff. Management not interested if your not coping well, there’s the door!
