Established in 1975, Laverton Cold Storage (LCS) is a growing, Australian family owned and operated dry, cold and freezer storage, logistics and distribution provider servicing medium to large food producers and import/export clients.With specialty facilities in Truganina and Mickleham and another one currently under construction in Truganina, we are experts in providing temperature-controlled cold storage warehousing.We pride ourselves on innovation and our commitment to excellence, utilising the latest cold storage warehousing and distribution technology and recognise that our employees’ professionalism and commitment is what sets us apart.

Toxic owner reason for the high staff turnaround
The good thingsThe people make coming to work everyday worth it. Work is easy.
The challengesToxic Owner of the company walks around swearing, screaming, and throwing a tantrum while micro-managing every aspect of the company that wastes alot of time of the workers and slows everyone down then complains that everyone is too slow. He doesn't actually understand what it's like to do the job and expects its his way or the highway. Even yells at and gives a hard time to a new person on their first day of the job training/learning. Very unprofessional and the reason for the high staff turnaround.

Great workmates, easy work but just not for me
The good thingsThis was my first time in cold storage, working in the -22c freezer. The cold temperature didn’t bother me, I enjoyed the work load, and working with some people that I’m still friends with.
The challengesThe OH&S issues, faulty equipment and management that makes one decision about something then another a few days later.
