What started off as sweet quickly turned sour
The good thingsCoworkers & other casual employees are the only redeemable part of working here.
The challengesStart with the CEO then move down the ladder to HR, accounts & the in store managers. Way too high of expectations by head management are forced upon in store managers which in turn made it difficult for casual & part time employees. Many times deliveries would arrive late & the workers would be expected to get it out on the deadline set by head management. There is a lot of micromanagement involved from the way jeans are folded, displayed to how customers were interacted with.

Workplace bullyculture is their core valeA seriously toxic workplace with bullyingculture, but the leader will only ignore the behavior, protects the offender, and even joins in. They were also even proud ofbullying others. For the sake of your mental health, do not work for this company — you’ll experience their ‘special’ culture as early as the job interview.

Fun job but poor management and no incentive for workers to do well.
The good thingsGood staff discount at mainline stores. Great environment with coworkers.
The challengesHaving individual KPIs to meet each day with no incentive or commission received for achieving or overachieving. Poor training/mentorship for managers. Upper management disorganised and tend to sweep HR issues under the rug.

Core Values are only for show
The good thingsThe team in store was amazing, cannot fault a single one of them
The challengesHead office don't care about about the customer facing teams. Its all about performance. They don't communicate or listen to feedback. Working for levi's is like trying to get blood out of a stone.

An exciting adventure that turned into the greatest disappointment ever
The good thingsGreat amount of uniform allowance, good pay & penalty rates, good hours & opportunities to work at different stores, casual roster
The challengesLack of support from higher ups, very money focused including competitiveness between employee’s despite there being no commission, felt used & unappreciated, employees not held responsible for when things went wrong, a billion different systems to learn & use with little support, always waiting for problems to be solved with IT, shop fitting, stock, ect... , poorly trained managers, double standard expectations

Good on paper pretty unpleasant in practice.
The good thingsFree jeans, access to sample sale, great brand story.
The challengesAwful head office culture, with very siloed and secretive work practices. Management lacked strategic vision. Little support provided to junior staff even when asked for directly. Lots of nepotism.

The good thingsGreat team instore. Everyone in store super amazing to work with.
The challengesUnrealistic out of touch management team in the head office. No support for instore management. Boasts diversity and inclusiveness but in reality they do none of it.

It was a great casual job, I felt privileged to work in such a good team with people my age, and I gained experience in fashion, customer service and sales.
The good thingsThe team was always close like a family, we would support each other as work mates and friends. The managers always seemed to hire like minded, down to earth people and I met some really nice people in my time working for Levis
The challengesCustomers were the most difficult component of the job, as in any retail job. The stocktake was the most difficult task, and I found the training for how to open/close was lacking

Overall I had a blast, it was incredibly exciting and fun two years.
The good thingsFantastic and passionate brand! A company that prides it's self on looking after it's employees and giving equal opportunity. A well established brand where every day you learn something new! Great employee incentives too.
The challengesNo challenges with the brand- retail always has it's moments but that is the same with any company.
