L'Occitane employees consistently praise the company's high-quality products and generous staff benefits, including substantial discounts and monthly product gratis. The positive team environment is frequently highlighted, with many describing a family-like atmosphere among colleagues. THE WORST. PLEASE DO NOT WORK HERE UNDER THAT PARTICULAR REGIONAL MANAGER.
The good thingsI recently interviewed for an Assistant Boutique Manager role. While the interview process itself was organised, I felt concerned by comments suggesting candidates from other retail sectors (such as fashion) may not perform well in cosmetics. Although there job description never mentioned they only welcome people from the cosmetic background, what a JOKE. As retail skills are often transferable, this came across as somewhat dismissive. A more open mindset toward diverse retail experience would strengthen hiring decisions and candidate experience. Regional Manager based in Melbourne needs to be open minded and hire people of diverse background, she is a joke.
The challengesChange your Manager- have a people with growth mindset and people who respect others hard work, experience, skill and knowledge.

The good thingsProducts are nice. Company stands for good causes.
The challengesThe management team in Melbourne is abit of a joke to be honest. The regional manager is completely delusional and the field coach may aswell be a Christmas casual. Don’t compromise your peace and happiness for this place it’s not worth it. Avoid this company at all cost especially Melbourne.

Run … don’t walk away from this place … there are many other Great Places to Work that actually care about their people … this is NOT one of them
The good thingsGray products and Staff discount
The challengeshad become very difficult place to work … if the regional didn’t like you then you would not get shifts (manager has no authority or voice) and when you tried to talk to someone it would all just get pushed under the carpet. WAS worthy of Great Place to Work but certainly not when I had left.
