    The Mancala Group is an Australian based group providing specialised design, engineering, construction and mining services. Mancala has proven safe work practices and are experienced in contract mining and shaft solutions. Mancala was formed in 1990 by two of the current directors with the aim of finding small high grade base metal deposits that could be mined and the ore sold to local mills on a value adding opportunity. In the mid 1990 such a deposit at South Comet was acquired and the ore mined and sold to the then operating company Pasminco in Rosebery, Tasmania. That venture although at some times highly variable, proved to be financially successful and formed the base of the company’s growth. Due to the market’s demand Mancala decided to enter the mining industry as a mine contractor and offer expert advice to the general mining industry. With this diversification came the company’s opportunity to undertake both contract mining and shaft construction. Today the Mancala Group of companies is made up of four distinct business types: o Contract Mining Services; o Full Mine Services; o Full Mine Ownership & feasibility studies; and o Equipment Maintenance Repair & Rebuild Services together with labour hire
