    Transformational experience of toxic horror.
The good thingsThe team geniunely cared about their work and rallied together.
The challengesIncredibly toxic boys club with their executive team, that did not support hiring or replacing staff. Over worked, under paid and passive aggressive environment with no support and the moment you raise any issue with them with being made to complete 3-4 staff members roles that they refused to replace and dumped their work on you then you were the problem. Significant underpayment in comparison to the industry by at least $20k. The continous lying from the executive team to staff and clients demonstrated significant incompetence in leadership.

An underperforming and unaccountable group of executive managers who pride themselves on mediocrity.
The good thingsThe people that were there at one time there had a collective genuine passion for service and excellence. This is no longer the case
The challengesmanagement is non existent and not willing to deal with the issues. Clients complain about service and no action is taken by management to address the poor individual performance on a repeated level. A high turnover of key and hard working staff while exec management stay and do nothing to fix this

Not for everyone. Tight boys club. Not much opportunity to grow although they’ll talk about it a lot. Silo mentality.
The good thingsA few good genuine people. Good range of client.
    The challengesManagement. Culture. Not cohesive.

Marsh is a workplace where I am recognised for my hard work, feel included and seen.
The good things- Great diversity, ethics and inclusion; wonderfully friendly and welcoming company culture - Interesting work (if you ask for it) - Great leadership
The challengesAs a graduate, there could've been more done to provide a structured plan for our rotation journey.

I am continually blown away by how incredibly lucky I am to work for such an amazing company who shares my values and is an active participant for neccessary change in the world.
The good thingsLives and breathes the company values. Focus on people, development, talent, inclusiveness and diversity. High levels of collaboration and enthusiasm for the role. Abundance of opportunities to work and move all around the world. Despite its size and global reach, it manages to maintain that personal touch and feel. This is a socially and ethically responsible company, it takes its role as a leader in the community really seriously. Marsh really stepped up to support its workforce and community during times of crises such as 9/11, the global pandemic and war in Ukraine. Hands down the best place I've ever worked.
The challengesSometimes the internal processes can be a little slow, but are designed in a way to manage operational risks better and not expose the individual.

    Very Rewarding
The good thingsGreat colleagues to work with and exposure to broader insurance market (local/overseas) to learn about insurance everyday.
The challengesLearning about new products, and applying the thought process as to which products were relevant to different types of business. It was critical experience cause you don’t want to market wrong product or educate your customer with incorrect advice which is important for the business.
