They only protect their favourites, no one else has a chance. Senior Management needs a change.
    The good thingsExperience, friendships formed.
The challengesLeadership can be improved, we use to have good leadership and that has gone down hill, they have favourite people in the company and they do favour them, regardless what these people do it is overlooked. The work environment is unfair.

Dehumanization. It’s a cold, cruel corporation. Profit & progress is their only concern.
The good thingsOff street parking and not much else unfortunately.
The challengesManagement are trained to squeeze the life out of all employees, HR department is trained to protect management. I suggest working for an employer who will treat you with respect and dignity. You won’t find it at Martin Brower, they’re ruthless.

work was easy and not too extreme but you have to have thick skin to make it at this place.
The good thingsIf your chasing money than its good for that.
The challengesmanagement is clueless and most of the workers are greedy and will stab you in the back given chance.

avoid at all costs, much better jobs out there paying the same with half the stress.
The good thingsTeam Members, Entry level pay rate
The challengesManagement, Supervisor that never has even worked on the floor of a warehouse, lots of backstabbing in leadership, unsupportive for hard work and no clear progress pathway.

A growing workplace with great opportunities to learn, develop, and contribute to a positive team culture.
The good thingsA Diverse and support workplace with people from all backgrounds and stages of life. there are excellent opportunities for upskilling and career advancement for those who are driven. The company prioritizes safety and provides outstanding health and mental health well-being resources.
The challengesAs a new distribution warehouse, there still a lot of work needed to establish a strong culture and clear standards. Processes can feel instructed at times, and accountability needs improvement. while there are opportunities for growth, clearer direction and organization would make a big difference.

Supportive Senior Management & Opportunities for Career Advancement.
The good thingsSupportive senior management who listen to opinions and ideas, and actively provide feedback. Good opportunites with promotions and new roles at other sites advertised internally. Great safety culture!
The challengesSome policies and procedures are a bit outdated. Unpredictable volumes can make it challenging.

Great pay rate, but the lack of hours and micromanagement team leader types create a demoralising work culture. You won't be looking forward to going into work, even to catch up with your workmates! Will take you like 5 years to get on reach truck or other fork duties! Go for the pay, but company culture matters big time and at this place, well, it's not the most desirable. Also, don't expect items to be in their correct pick locations as they normally would in any DC and expect to waste time locating items which get placed in obscure places.
The good things* Good entry pay rates, well above average ($37-$42 p/h) and you get a pay increase if you get on the books, but only 4 days a week. Some days you'll likely finish early so it averages out to only around 25-30 hours a week. You're going to need a side hustle despite the good pay rate!
The challenges*Less hours. Minimal OT and weekend work for those with extra time that want to earn extra. *Disorganised warehouse! Items often not in correct pick locations. *Micromanagement leads to demoralising work culture. *Lack of training specific to company (vs. industry wide). *No incentive bonuses.

Head aches with a chance of confusion.
The good thingsPretty straight foward work, easy paper work and OKAY trucks.
The challengesOffice politics and driver politics. People get angry if you get there run. Can be made to feel like you’re not really trying. People will screw your work so u have a worse day from other drivers loading your truck because no loader or office staff not communicating.

A great place to learn new things.
The good thingsThe company promotes an environment of growth and development. In my time at the company I have had and still do have some great mentors that have helped me succeed and also be promoted through various roles.
The challengesAs with all Supply Chain environments Martin Brower is fast passed and this can at time poses challenges. There is always support provided by the company to work through these times.

Working with a good team on interesting challenges.
The good thingsPositive culture, meaningful work. Good office environment (plenty of parking) and flexibility with WFH options. Focus on growth and improvement so always new challenges to keep things interesting.
The challengesLike most supply chain roles, external disruptions (natural disasters etc.) can lead to volatile workloads at times.

    Outstanding community, support & pay!
The good thingsI have never encountered a workplace as supportive and inclusive as MB. Although my employment was only a temporary contract, it was very clear to me that the company is genuinely interested in staff well-being and success. The management team are highly skilled, encouraging, supportive and flexible. The pay rate is outstanding. I genuinely couldn't find a fault with my experience working for Martin Brower, I wouldn't hesitate to apply for future positions!
The challengesThat I couldn't stay longer!

Good environment and willing to invest in its people. Would go back.
The good thingsThe people. I think that makes any company. You will always have one or two you don't get along with but majority are all there to better themselves and the environment.
The challengesSalary & Pay. You have to fight tooth and nail.

Good pay for a poor environment to work in, not worth it.
The good thingsNot many good things about the place.
The challengesPoor scheduling from managers, tend to be overstaffed a lot on the busier days. Different rules for different people. Was no room to move in the company or advance skill sets even though they kept saying it would happen. Work life balance is appalling, you work all the hours and overtime requested of you, with not much gratitude. Drivers speak down on you (not all), fulltime staff think they're above everyone else and have a tantrum when casuals ask to be trained on forklift (which the company is in desperate need of more drivers).

Mentally challenging on a daily basis. Promises were made to go on their books but was never honoured. Look elsewhere please!
The good thingsThe occasional over time was good. Also day shift supervisor was great and looked after workers.
The challengesFull time staff act as team leaders and get casuals to do the jobs they don't want. Truck drivers are allowed to speak down to workers and transport supervisor allows it. Sarcasm if an everyday part of the operation.

The good thingsA good place to learn and develop the mentality of customer first. The managers are pushing the organisation to lead the market as the best service provider.
The challengesLong working hours and stressful environment may not suit everyone. But for those eager to learn, it is probably the place to go.

Intense and highly stressful working environment. Ineffectively resourced for expectations and workload.
The good thingsNew office space that is open with natural light, and meeting rooms are plentiful throughout the workplace.
The challengesThe workload is heavy and under-resourcing is a means of cost control. Management does not listen to employee issues or concerns raised.

Rapidly changing environment - trend unfortunate not for the better.
The good thingsWas a good company to work for. Really looked after their employee's. Unfortunately change in management now to focused on promoting themselves and squeezing employee's for more.
The challengesResults/effort not sufficient to impress management. Those that that can talk the talk get promoted regardless if they can perform.
