    Not a recommended employer
The good thingsTeam on the ground is lovely but management lacks appreciation of staff and is out of touch. Appears upper management does not value their nurses.
The challengesNeeds to go digital, improve nursing resources and show appreciation to their staff that provide the patient care. Don't seem to recognise staff for their contributions.

A disappointing and uninspired digital experience. Not reflective of our standards.
The good thingsMater’s mission and clinical teams are strong and inspirational. There is genuine potential if the digital leadership and capability are uplifted correctly.
The challengesThe Mater digital experience and Copilot rollout are disappointing. The program feels shallow, adds little beyond standard Microsoft material, and lacks genuine expertise. Leadership comes across as well‑meaning but out of depth, with engagement that can feel condescending rather than enabling. Content is dull and unimaginative, offering no real uplift for staff or the organisation. From a content and user‑experience perspective, the offering is dull and unimaginative, adding no meaningful value. There is no sense of innovation, no practical enablement, and no evidence of understanding how AI should be embedded into a complex health environment.

The challengesShifts at the start, however when discussing with my manager they were able to introduce a flexible working arrangement. This has been great and my family and I are so happy!
