Will keep myself as far as possible from MRL for the future
The good thingsEnjoyed nothing, however payment was average for market for that time. Lots of developments in different area of industry. Good place if you like stress and disappointment.
The challengesToxic culture, nepotism and double standard to employee. Huge turnover in employment tells you all about it.

Top-heavy and outdated management and organisational structure. Their approach to cutting costs is firing staff and making people redundant. Would not recommend engaging with this low-level company.

Bad culture, bull*ing and neglect from management
The good thingsBenefits, packaging, nice facilities
The challengesHorrendous culture between staff and management within the crèche. They pushed out a staff member by allowing bull*ing. Struggled with anxiety and depression, raised this with management, was never ask how I was after or referred to their onsite psychologist.worstvcompany I’ve ever worked for.

Toxic management who don't let you have opinions
The good thingsMade some life long friends through the trauma we all went through
The challengesManagement is extremely toxic, if you have new and better processes there is no point saying it out loud as you will be rejected immediately. False promises are made all the time and unless you have the personality of a sponge you will succeed here. Horrible environment if you have humour lol

Awful experience working with them, wasted my time.
The good thingsOffice is modern which attracts staff to work but toxic work culture
The challengesNothing to like there except the modern office, this place is the perfect example of people leaving bosses than jobs. Worst management in IT

If it sounds too good to be true then it probably is.
The good thingsLocation and salary was good for me however the good things didn’t last very long.
The challengesToxic management and company culture in every way. They frequently lie to employees during company webinars etc. I felt like had been scammed.

The worst mining employment i have had in 25-years, it is that bad.
The good thingsThere is none, if you want to be treated like a number and watch management break company procedures on a daily basis this is the correct place for you to be.
The challengesThe nepotism that is rife and retribution for speaking up. You can't just do your job unless you align with someone and protect yourself on a permanent basis.

This place has a terrible rating for a reason, those that stay there for more than a year is usually because they can’t get a job elsewhere. The culture is becoming more and more toxic by the day.
The good thingsSome of the people are lovely to work with.
The challengesToxic culture, low morale, cut throat and a lot of backstabbing

The company advertises themselves very well but don't be fooled. Not by the fancy office, restaurant or luxury resorts etc.
The good thingsThe team. Lots of great people, all under the same terrible management. Office and amenities are nice when you're new.
The challenges- Mismanagement. Project managers are unable to plan and think throwing labour resources will fix the problem. Too many managers, a lot of them doing nothing as they've been with the company for too long and can afford to do the bare minimum. - Toxic culture, factioning departments against each other as well as blaming other departments to save face. The culture is more of a point fingers at someone else instead of looking to find solutions collaboratively. - No lack for quality of work and no lessons learnt from previous projects. Managers are incentivised by project completion bonuses and will take shortcuts to reach targets. - Understaffed. Constant employees resigning only adds to further the burden on existing employees who are already overworked. - No work/life balance and inflexibility. Poor project management leading to having random and sporadic site work, as well as unnecessarily strict rosters. Approach to work is seen as time based, not productivity based (you're kept tabs on when you enter and leave the office). Employees essentially do 9 day fortnight workhours without the 10th day off... and ofcourse no work from home arrangements. - Little to no career progression and promotions. You'll just get pigeon holed into one area and no care is given until you decide to provide a resignation letter.

Company that has no respect for its people and a poor culture that starts at the top.
The good thingsThe office is great but it does not compensate for the poor culture, lack of care/respect for employees and poor leadership.
The challengesNo idea how to run a mining company, no systems and processes means that no one knows what they are meant to be doing, zero flexibility (don’t expect to be able to take your kids to school) and the company has zero respect for its people. Don’t be fooled by the flashy PR and office, and definitely don’t leave a decent company to work here - you will regret it.

If you have family values do not work here, best suited for Individuals who seek workaholics,
The good thingsThe office is really breathtaking and desks you work in are spacious in HQ. Site fascilities are great and camp food is amazing,
The challengesSystems and processes are a massive challenge, doing your actual job becomes increasingly complex with management constantly trying to change things without real benefit and requests their staff to increase workload output. If you want to start later so you can leave later or have flexibility in your week to WFH look elsewhere. You have an access fob that scans what time you come and leave the office, each month a report gets sent to management so that they can monitor who has been in the office and who hasn't. Departments are run lean so you have a lot more pressure and responsibilities on your shoulders, this includes all roles from Site to HQ. People burn out but the shiny office and above average remuneration keeps people there. There is very limited career progression despite what they tell you in interviews. They market themselves as Agile and Family values but if someone mentions that they need to pick their kids up from school and therefore leave a certain time, they won't get hired

    Work elsewhere.
The good thingsNice office but it's all a mask. I wouldn't come here if I didn't have to, my son gets better treated working at his local mcdonald's.
The challengesSenior management never present to feedbacks from staffs, but expects 110% from us. No working from home, no excuses for start late/leaving early. Silo kind of culture, hence provide the "state-of-the-art" office to keep you in.

Controlling and clock watching. Don’t recommend at all.
The good thingsHQ is lovely. Doesn’t make up for the bad micro management culture though.
The challengesMicromanagement, due to leaders being insecure in themselves. No flexible working, told I have to be in the office every day. I have 2 young children so it’s quite impossible to be in the office 8-5 every day.

Treat it as a last resort, no standard - worst place to work.
The good thingsFancy office, Some nice people
The challengesNo training and development. Micromanaging managers, even questioning if 5 mins late. felt very strange while working there. Does not have a well-established organization structure. Inept managers/ senior engineers which makes others life hard.
