The first few years were okay but more 'yes' men/women were brought in and care was no longer given to customers. This made me not want to turn up for work.
The good thingsSome of the original staff who would think for themselves.
The challengesExtremely bad upper management. Area managers are incompetent and never supportive. Heads of the company have no care for their staff and pay as minimum wage as possible.

Easy work. Good people. A couple bad eggs but generally a great company.
The good thingsI did really enjoy my time here. Both in the work and the people around me. My colleagues, manager and area manager have all been fantastic and encourage a friendly working environment. The work isn't difficult, and the clients are mostly friendly. The training is comprehensive and frequently being improved.
The challengesLike any environment, there are some difficult people and underlying dramas. Some managers, (not mine thankfully, she was a blessing), will shift blame onto their staff despite it clearly being either a managerial, training or process issue. While most managers are knowledgeable, empathetic, and experienced, the few that aren't need to be more careful with treading on toes.

If you're looking to level up...
The good thingsGreat team culture and staff, structured support to develop your business skills. NS is continually striving to improve with a customer centric focus, great for individuals who share this vision. Management do their best to support and encourage while giving you the freedom to do it your own way.
The challengesThere are certainly times when everything happens at once and the company has implemented support through phone call overflows and floater staff, but if you're easily stressed its not for you. Often you are the only person onsite and you can be dealing with emotional situations or conflict.

    Terrible- Not worth it.
The good thingsFew coworkers and meeting customers.
The challengesNot worth the stress and anxiety. Constantly left to juggle several jobs at once and on your own. Maintenance, security, customer service, cleaning, sales and several other tasks are to be done all by yourself. Not worth the pay. Little support. You could be cleaning 10 units alone, then several customers will show up, the phone is ringing and you’re expected to be in so many places at once- with no support. You’d be lucky to have one other person rostered with you, which is rare. Sometimes feels unsafe and little security is provided to staff. Unreasonable goals are to constantly be met- such as constant communication to potential customers, even when they’re not interested. Pressure constantly on you when you’re working and juggling a million things at once- some that’s not even listed in the job description and you definitely do not get paid enough for it. Not enough staff resulting to centers shutting if you’re sick or unable to make it to work. Not worth the trauma, time or energy. Terrible company to work for and I feel sick every single time I think about working there.

Friendly direct management and team, have to be constantly looking for self improvement in various areas or else you won't keep up. Has its slow days but the job is good most of the time.
The good thingsThe autonomy of the role and not having a senior manager down your neck.
The challengesPay, weekends, juggling 7 roles in one by yourself.

Wish I had found this company years ago, great work/life balance, opportunities starting to open up by promotion within. Couldn't ask for a better company to work for.
The good thingsGreat team interactions, East sub ops manager and centres very helpful
The challengesMaintenance issues at centres take some time to fix.

I’m glad I got a chance to work here, it was worth it.
The good thingsThe job itself was good, I learned new people skills and confidence in myself. The team environment was great, awesome xo-workers. Management and upper management were by far the best I’ve encountered, especially the east subs/Vic Ops Manager and my centre manager.

    Not worth the headache
The good thingsFull time. Work social events are usually good. They have some great people working for them but they’re unfortunately walked all over and used.
The challengesPoor upper management. Very unsupportive and toxic working environment. Little recognition for hard work and dedication. HR team are untrustworthy. A company that will always hold their staff accountable but not themselves.

Fast-paced environment with great culture and people.
The good thingsGreat culture:Senior management is down-to-earth and approachable - although the company is ASX listed, it retains the personal and caring culture like a family business, different from the impersonal and hierarchy-driven commonly found in big corporations. This has fostered a loyal and stable workforce: many staff in the head office have been internally promoted from contact center or storage centers, and have been with the business for many many years. Great people: you get to work with the exceptionally intelligent people who also have a great heart. I get to learn a lot from my direct manager, who never withholds his knowledge, and genuinely helps me to succeed.
The challengesFast-paced environment: not a day is dull as the business is always growing and embracing new opportunities, but your effort is also recognised and appreciated.

Company does not pay well enough for the amount of work expected.
The good thingsThe consultants that work here go above and beyond and really genuinely care.
The challengesLittle to no work life balance. Not all centres are treated fairly - half of the centres have a larger rotation for having to work Saturdays, others Consultants are expected to work every second. Also half are expected to work till 4 while half finish at 2pm, with no difference in pay. Management expect you to carry a work mobile 24/7 when managers are away with no thankyou or reward. Often left alone to work with huge workload.

    Great Company!
The good thingsThe team are amazing - we are a close knit team who work within a supportive environment and culture. We were able to work through COVID-19 and I feel extremely grateful for how stable and supportive the company has been. You also don't have to work nights or Sundays, so there is a really great work/life balance.
The challengesThere is a lot to learn when you are new to the business however there is a training plan to help you and the other centres are also free to call whenever you need.

    Not good
The good thingsHad a family type feeling at one stage but that has change drastically. The only good thing is leaving at the end of the day.
The challengesPoor workplace culture. Teamwork is not held as a high priority despite it being one of the companies core values. Hard work goes completely unrecognised.

What is a work life balance?
The good thingsThere is a couple good people sprinkled around the company. Apparently head office staff are treated well but unfortunately the rest of us are completely replaceable.
The challengesLow pay, no room for progression and very little training. Centre staff are responsible for so much but they’re not taken care off at all. It’s family, friends and self care or it’s NS. Your pick.
