A stressful place to work I worked at NORSTA for 11 months, and while there were some positive aspects, my overall experience was mixed.
The Good:
Most of the staff were genuinely lovely to work with, and there was a strong sense of camaraderie among many team members.
Areas for Improvement:
Unfortunately, the company faces several challenges. High levels of overtime were common, and staff turnover was also high (nearly 40% in 2024) which created instability and further overtime. A significant issue was the lack of documented procedures and formal training, which made onboarding and daily tasks unnecessarily difficult. Additionally, some team members regularly displayed unhelpful workplace behaviours, and these issues were not addressed by management, which affected morale and the broader team dynamic.
