Horrific work place - would not recommend to anyone!
The good thingsThe people in my team were kind and my team leaders were supportive.
The challengesThis is an awful company to work for. No respect for the "lower level" roles from higher management. You are a number in the system - that's all. Pay was average and you get micromanaged in a way that I've never seen before. KPIs for answering calls are unreasonably high and there is no consideration for how difficult experiences may effect your mental state.

Just a number who was made redundant with 1800 other people.
The good thingsGreat team members, 2 on, 2 off was a great roster.
The challengesRidiculous need for hazard hunts and KPI’s. Just a number. Company always were looking to reduce cost. Big job losses at the time including me.

If you love to juggle roles but take home the same pay, complaints, and exponential problems? Apply!
The good thingsMaking friends and accessibility to public transport.
The challenges- Process and compliance are grey areas with no justifications or rationales that have no definite clarity. - Seeking "help" will at best require you to re-submit your enquiry, good luck dealing with complaints and 5 day old requests that are yet to be answered. - Training and resources are almost non-existent - Management do not care about anything except numbers. - Notional Overtime (not disclosed openly). READ your clause in your agreement enterprise! You are forced to work overtime as it is "Packaged" - Anyone higher than your direct in charge is NOT to be trusted. - KPI's and Bonus? Forget it. Unachievable by any means even by the best performers. Forcing to sell Broadband when other competitors are cheaper and more consistent? An existing Broadband team are in place, if that doesnt tell you more about how desperate they are to make sales. - Last but not least. Offshore Manila and New Delhi teams will sink you...

YUCK. Steer clear. Love, support and growth? Nope! KPI's coaching and redundancy? Yes.
The good thingsGood team mates, occasional work events, nice office.
The challengesThis place is about as toxic as it gets. At first it's all "Love support and growth" with very basic minimal entry training new employees. Training is NOT adequate for the stringent framework and regulations of the industry. Then it turns into KPI's and coaching, and "How can you be better" even when you are performing very well in the role. Passive aggressive managers and higher level management, KPI's designed to work against each other so you can never really be considered "Perfect" at your job. This leads to micro management and for management to constantly coach you, so as to undermine your ability to do the job and be proud of your contribution. At the end of the day, after a few years, there will be a wave of redundancies, they'll outsource your job to a country with a cheaper job market, (Oh, the shareholders want a better return!) and when customers complain that they aren't speaking to an Aussie on the phones, they'll back-flip, and re-hire staff locally. YUCK.

Your skills, resilience, aptitude, prior experience, nothing at all matters and this place is toxic for one and everyone
The good thingsVibrant and cheerful team mates
The challengesI have seen this place turn from the best place to worst place to work. Immediate managers are not trained to be good leaders so they work with passive aggressive style, targeting staff to make the environment so unbearable that they leave. KPI's goal posts change every week and are absolutely impossible to meet, leading to every week toxic 1 on 1's. Training is so inadequate for the work they expect with changes happening every so often. By the time you get comfortable with one system, they will soon change to something else.

Mismanaged and overworkedManagement has no clear vision, changes are not properly communicted to employees. They stretch you as far as you can go with the phone ringing off with no end so you feel empty at the end of the day. This is not a positive working environment.

Detrimental effects on mental health, with no regard to work safe laws
The good thingsThe pay for a call centre is above average.
The challengesManagement is all over the shop, there is so much inconsistency regarding expectations, KPIs, the intentions of the business. Management is given free rein to do what they believe is correct, however this allows for mistreatment of employees and favouritism to run rampant.

Don't join here if you want to have mental peace
The good thingsNot a single good thing
The challengesWorst training provided. Poor management, horrible Operations Teams, 0 growth(100% biased based on your race as they only promote pr/citizenship holders over asians into better roles although you prove yourself to be a worthy candidate) worst QA teams who dont even know how to assess a call(they a stupid system of reading verbatim which irritates customers highly and if you dont read atleast a single word from the verbatim you will fail and get 0% QA), constant changes in expectations, unrealistic KPI's like: 2min call wrap time(There are heaps of calls which take more than 10mins to wrap the calls), micro managed horribly.

Its like high school all over again
The good thingsWork from home 3 days a week, pay is higher than average for a contact centre, the organisation will cover the cost of work from home set up (screens, mouse/keyboard, chair).
The challengesKPIs which conflict making it impossible to achieve goals, inconsistent and unfinished knowledge management, bottom up approach which takes advantage of over-achievers. This is a job which you could easily be burnt out by if you don’t have solid boundaries. It appears to be decentralised from the main organisation and career pathways to go outside the call centre are foggy at best. The systems and processes continuously change. The office culture is immature - highschoolish in nature. Professionalism amongst teams is low. Feedback is encouraged to be delivered freely amongst employees which creates constant interpersonal issues and tension within teams.

[In reference to APLNG business] Poor management, zero leadership communication, working in silos, no interest in people below management or who aren't in with the right people. There is HR chaos, constant turnover (APLNG specific) but management don't care or change.
The good thingsGood things are salary & bonus but there is a reason they need to pay high to keep people. Energy Markets has a better culture but APLNG is different. Some people report good opportunities and development, but only if you know the right people.
The challengesThe challenges are management, poor communication across levels, lack of transparency in anything that is happening in leadership, pressures are badly managed and instead of pushing back, leaders just push it downwards. Turnover is very high and this has created absolute chao. Make sure you ask how long people have been in the team and how much turnover has occurred recently.

Very attractive company to work for on paper, but once you're part of the business you become just another number.
The good thingsSome people I work with are great and easy to get along with, flexibility in working hours depending what department you work in
The challenges- Managers set unrealistic expectations for KPIs - Business very strong on equality however give some areas bonuses and pay increases and not others - Unwilling to help with learning new skills or upskilling existing skills. Managers expect you to do it in your own time outside of working hours. - Lack of managerial support - Wrong people are promoted/given opportunities

The good thingsI worked for some very professional people that helped me to develop beyond my expectations.
The challengesTrying to keep a good attitude, while management continued to "Cull" Employees, in the name of Shareholder Profit. I also worked for some very Unprofessional people that made going to work a complete hell.

Waste of 4-5years of loyal brand rep whilst employed feels like.
The good thingsThe colleagues are quite nice and friendly that are on your job title level. The pay is decent.
The challengesPoor management, Inability to be flexible outside of procedures established. Cliche office/high school mentality with people of influence/higher ups. Offering WFH during covid -19 but apparently not when 1yr prior i asked for it for medical reasons but outside capacity (doesn’t show much loyalty or care).
