I would not recommend working here to anyone who values respect, mental health, or fair treatment.
The good thingsThere is absolutely no good things in working for this company. They pay peanuts to their employees and over work them.
The challengesI worked at Rashays RUOMKY for approximately 1.5 years. During my time there, I experienced ongoing victimisation and maltreatment from senior staff members. I raised these concerns with HR on multiple occasions, but no meaningful action was taken. Instead, the behaviour was allowed to continue, which severely affected my mental health. The management culture is extremely poor. Upper management, including the site manager and higher leadership, demonstrated a lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic respect for staff wellbeing. Rather than supporting or promoting hardworking employees, management frequently demotes staff, creating an environment of fear and instability. They appear to prioritise control over development and growth. Overall, this workplace was emotionally draining and unsafe for staff morale. I would not recommend working here to anyone who values respect, mental health, or fair treatment.

    Avoid at all costs.
The good thingsUnfortunately, no positive comments to make about the management or organisation. The staff at head office were generally nice, but very poorly treated. It was the worst workplace I've ever walked into. Jnr staff members feel intimated frequently working 6am - 8pm as well as weekends. No flexibility
The challengesOwner + management speak derogatorily about staff in Arabic so they don't understand what is being said about them. Very exclusionary culture. The CIO verbally aggressive towards staff yelling and asking if they're stupid in front of all in an open plan office. No training or onboarding.

The challengesManagers don't care about workers, they say they rotate people around on the floor but always stick the same people on the same jobs. They don't seem to care if you are sick and rosters are ALWAYS late!!

Challenging at the best of times
The good thingsThrown in the deep end a lot so you end up learning a lot in a fast amount of time. Fast-paced, you won't be bored.
The challengesWorking for people who want to dictate every detail of your work, despite no knowledge of your work/profession and not allowing employees to use the knowledge they have as professionals. No trust and didn't feel valued as an employee... ever. Very stressful environment to work in due to management style.

Started here just before COVID-19, and it's been one hell of a roller-coaster ride, filled with fun, challenges and amazing moments!
The good thingsWorking at RASHAYS HQ is both challenging and rewarding. It is a fast-paced workplace with a strong focus on growth and development. Amazing modern open workspace, with our own test kitchen and the most amazing coffee machine I've ever used in my life.

The good thingsRashays is a great environment for professional growth and learning. Management is always keen to hear from people at all levels to help innovate. It's a great collaborative environment with open communication.

Chaotic, messy, poor pay, but some fun moments.
The good thingsOn the good nights, it was fast-paced, fun and I loved cooking.
The challengesThe management was dysfunctional, the hours erratic and often different from what you offered and different still to what you are told your shifts would be. Communication between cooks/chefs was very poor. My shift was scheduled to end at 10:00pm, but I was told that I needed to stay until "everything was done". This ended up being 1:00. I then had to drive home and attend school at 8:45 the next day.

The good thingsThe actual staff (not managers) are lovely to work with.
The challengesChaotic management. Excessively unorganised and genuinely immature. Unsure if it’s because most of them are new to their roles but you’re probably better off waiting for a better opportunity.

The good thingsThe good things were the other staff, I made great friends working there
The challengesThe management was very poor and constantly changing, high turn over staff, most of the colleagues were from another country, great people but its hard to communicate with people who cant speak english very well and one of the kitchen managers was not nice The rosters were always a mess and were distributed the day before the next work week started. There were no real benefits just 10% off meals which is the same most customer get with a membership anyways
