Don’t recommend. Unless you’ve got something on the side.
The good thingsWorking with art supplies & other amazing artists.
The challengesIncompetent management. No feedback from HQ at all ever. Told to prepare for stocktake- need overtime- then never told when it would be. Months later no stocktake. Worked overtime for nothing. Hours cut constantly.

It could have been the ideal job for me except for the unrealistic sales targets, given my shifts were mainly only 3-hour lunch covers.
The good thingsI liked being surrounded by creative art and crafts materials and equipment, and being eligible for the generous staff discounts.
The challengesTrying to meet unreasonable sales targets when the amount of customers was greatly reduced because the shop had recently relocated, but the move was not publicised. Four out of six phone calls per day were from bewildered customers wanting to know where the shop was!!!
