Partners & Managers - Beware of Wolves in Sheep's clothingThe good thingsThe people I met along the way. I have developed some long-lasting friendships with a handful of staff and some really lovely, genuine clients.
The challengesPartners and Management.
Too many chiefs and not enough Indians as they say. So many secret squirrel conversations and not enough honesty. They request feedback and push for staff to complete surveys, but they should preface it with 'We only want you to tell us how good we are' because whatever you do don't tell them the truth.
Lack of collaboration between teams, those with real skill are put in their box and those that tell them how amazing they are get promoted.
They tell you how important you are, and that work/life balance is a must at the same time as piling on the work.
When you finally break, seek outside advice and take leave they treat you like a villain and blatantly tell lies to everyone as to why you are not around. They are good at writing emails on your departure to tell the other staff how they wish you well and it appears they have sent it to you, but they have already blocked you from accessing everything.
Oh, and whatever you do don't make friends with clients as they will then take legal action to accuse you of trying to take clients.
