What’s it like working at Sandvik?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees at Sandvik appreciate the friendly and supportive colleagues who create a positive team environment across the organisation. The company offers flexible and hybrid working arrangements with good work/life balance, and has a genuine commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Training opportunities and career advancement are available for those keen to develop, and the organisation is described as mature and values-based, taking health and safety seriously whilst providing a supportive work environment.

However, there are some potential challenges, such as slow decision-making processes, particularly when global offices are involved, and varying management experience across different sites. Career progression opportunities may be limited in certain areas and regions, and pay levels can be lower compared to other companies. IT systems and warehouse management systems have been identified as areas for improvement, and whilst training is generally available, on-the-job training and management support could be more comprehensive in some operational areas. Additionally, frequent organisational changes require employees to adapt to new processes and systems.

The challengesSupply chain is a complete mess. Systems are deficient, very poor work like balance and unless you are part of the global purple circle you are not valued. No career progression for supply chain professionals outside of Sweden. Pay is appalling compared to other areas of the business.
