What’s it like working at Snap Fitness?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Working at Snap Fitness offers several positive aspects, including meaningful relationships with gym members and the opportunity to witness their fitness journeys. Employees appreciate the gym environment, complete with quality equipment, and value the free gym membership benefit. Many also highlight positive experiences with their fellow team members, creating a supportive workplace atmosphere.

However, the role presents certain challenges, including demanding working hours and intense end-of-month sales periods that can impact work-life balance. The training and support systems could be more robust, while the franchise model leads to varying experiences across different locations. Additionally, there is considerable pressure to meet sales targets, which directly affects earning potential and job satisfaction.

    Deceiving. Misleading, shocking.
The good thingsStructure and training from head office but you don’t have the time to complete it especially in the pre sales period when all the pressure is about making sales
The challengesOwners to get decent management and leadership training.

One of the most draining jobs I’ve ever had!
The good thingsFree gym membership but the last thing you’d want to do is spend more time there. Members were great. Equipment was great.
The challengesNo proper training. There is an online guide that you are rushed through when you start, but it’s not easy to refer back to when required. Other companies have much better onboarding processes. Sales. Everything becomes about numbers. No work life balance, despite promoting fitness and a healthy lifestyle. The income is not worth it. My manager was great, but the burnout is real. The final week of the month is this big push. Every month. It is not a sustainable job. I used to want to work towards being a manager. No thank you.

It’s a fun job but the perks don’t necessarily outweigh the constant drain you feel
The good thingsSince starting this role I have grown a lot as a person and have been able to achieve a lot of member growth within the club I manage. It is really cool getting to see members progress and coming into work and chatting to people I signed up a couple weeks earlier. I have also met some quality people
The challengesThe franchisee pushes for more sales and goes back on promises made to help the club. The pay is between 60-75k which is average but is not enough for 40-44+ hr weeks managing people. There is no work-life balance and after 6-12months you get so burnt out. The target for bonuses keeps getting harder
