I was blessed to choose a centre with supportive staff and a director that is family flexible. The industry needs an overhaul but my chosen centre is good to work for because of the educators I work with.

The good thingsIf you get a good team of educators the workplace is enjoyable. It is the industry that is the issue. the location for me is close. There are many locations and transferring to other locations seem to be easy if you needed to move. Training is offered. Traineeships and SBAT options are great to get into the industry.

The challengesThe pay The industry Unrealistic expectations of educators - Industry based Some centres are not family flexible depending on director The discount on childcare for educators' own children is not good compared to other organisations
