difficult and not worth the time
The good thingsClients were amazing always had a good time working with clients
The challengesworking with both management to ensure i was working adequate hours was a struggle, left being told "theres nothing we can do, theres no hours to give", when they just onboarded multiple new staff who all seemily have over 20 hours/week

More concerned with keeping clients than actually improving their lives - zero loyalty for staff.
The good thingsthey do offer salary packaging.
The challengesMore coporate than caring. Zero loyalty. clueless upper management put far too much pressure on middle management (team leaders). More concerned with keeping clients than actually improving their lives. Clients with more funding or rich parents get special treatment. All the "support" and perks are nonsense, I remember telling HR that their EAP (workplace psycology) was unhelpful and that all the staff i asked said the same thing, their response was that i had "missunderstood the nature of the service". They will ask for extra unpaid work, taking advantage of staff kindness.

The challengesthe new management have upturned every one’s life, no work life balance anymore, no respect. no matter how long you have worked here you are just a number to them. sunnyfield will let you go whenever it suits them and they can save a bit of money.

Wouldn't recommend working there till new upper management is removed.
The good thingsThe clients will bring you so much joy every day. The main reason you get out of bed on your worst days. The comradery of working in a good team.
The challengesConstant red tape. Top heavy with upper management, yet hours cut for face-to-face work. A culture of all blame, and no responsibility. They seem to have lost sight of who they are all actually working for, the clients.

I can highly recommend Sunnyfield as an employer.
The good thingsSunnyfield is a great employer, not just because of the job role and Management, but mostly for the great work they do for, and with, people with disabilities. Their values are second to none. Other perks include the not-for-profit salary sacrifice packages
The challengesMostly relate the technicalities of the role, but none other than that

The good thingsEveryone I have worked with have been so lovely, helpful and welcoming. Plus, Sunnyfield have starting using a new computer system which has been great!
The challengesUpon starting my role 6 months ago, Sunnyfield was using an old computer system and was transitions into a new system, meaning I had to learn both systems simultaneously which was a challenge, but I had support.

very rewarding to watch others around me move forward with their own personal struggles
The good thingsThis job opportunity has allowed me personally grow closer to my potential and to become a better person in the area I am best at, helping people .It has been very rewarding to watch disability residents blossom with the experience I have brought to the table. Also other staff around me growing and moving forward as well.
The challengesSharing/teaching/delegating with other staff members that have very big personalities. Finding a way to reach them with total respect ,empathy and understanding. How to stay neutral with my own bias thoughts. I have achieved it.
