    Warehouse Team Leader
    Nov 2025
Perth WA 600012 to 13 years in the role, current employee
A great workplace, close-knit team, and endless opportunities to thrive.
The good thingsWorking here has been an incredibly rewarding experience. With a close-knit team where sales and warehousing operate as one united workforce, all focused on achieving the end goal together. The support is outstanding, from local state management right through to managers interstate. Even in Perth, where distance can sometimes feel isolating, you’re always connected to the bigger picture. The management and HR teams at head office, and even globally, are consistently available and make you feel part of something larger every single day. Career progression has been a standout throughout my long tenure here. The company provides excellent training opportunities, empowering you to continually grow and take your career further.
The challengesWorkplace challenges are inevitable; the real value lies in how you and your colleagues collaborate to overcome them

The good thingsGood people within the team. Flexibility in role. Good perks.
The challengesStock supply issues. Fragmented communication along all points of supply chain. Higher ups only interested in their next promotion, burden worn by the front line staff.

Cross check and diarize this WA Mgr. if you plan to proceed further.
The good thingsGlobal Brand + Culture is strong, Induction was second to none the best ever, you feel alive the first three months putting all you have into your employment.
The challengesWA Mgr. is intense and draining, wins are mentioned however issues are greater discussed upon a meeting with no context leading up. Pricing is like wanting cake with loads more icing then required. Territory staff turnover 2.75 per year, too high.

    Autocracy disguised as democracy
The good thingsMost of the customer facing people work really hard to ensure they represent the company in the best possible way to the customers.
The challengesSenior leaders are either too far removed from reality or to arrogant to understand key issues that staff are experiencing, to the point that some staff have given up trying to raise these concerns and have left the company.

Working here was not enjoyable as there is a massive 'us and them' problem between management and staff on the road. Too top heavy. Worst company I have ever worked for, and nothing will change in QLD while the same seat warmers are there. Keep looking, this place is terrible.
The good thingsNot much. Free oil. CRM program was fairly good, once you got your head around it. Don't ask for help, you won't get it.
The challengesManagement live in the 80's. No support. Lazy management.

More than happy to work for Valvoline.
The good thingsThe corporate culture at Valvoline is the best I have ever experienced. Not only is it a global, reputable company, but a great workplace too.
The challengesThe lubricant industry is quite technical, and depending on the role, may take some time to understand - which is not Valvoline's fault, but more so a personal challenge.
