The worse experience I’ve ever had. Do not work for this company.

i am very grateful to work with Waterfind, its customer base and the industry.
The good thingscustomer focused, important work, well organised, country values, professional, quality assured, great team, support
The challengesKeeping up with a dynamic industry and government reforms means that processes are needing to be updated and changed to meet those requirements

By the end of my time there, I had nothing but resent against the company and it's management.
The good thingsTheir programming was great. It was easy to use and communicate with fellow employees but by the end of my time there the only thing that was good was the size o fmy salary
The challengesThe challenges were being heard. If you have a problem, don't expect it's going to be addressed and sorted because no matter how many times you complain and put in concern with HR nothing gets done. Their managers have lack of experience and people skills and do not know how to lead a team. Constant promises and constant let down.

Dynamic business environment, never boring working with a great team.
The good thingsA company that encourages and rewards long term commitment to the business, with employee personal and career development a major focus.
The challengesExciting but volatile market conditions require a nimble and flexible business structure, this has sometimes been challenging but also satisfying knowing that I’ve made a valuable contribution to long term business success.

There is a reason so many employees leave, but stay in the industry.
The good thingsTeam culture can be great on a individual basis as with all workplaces. Some people you connect with and others you don’t.
The challengesYou are an employee, not a member of a team. Management is easily distracted, with focus shifting to whatever the latest and greatest is. There is great hype about new initiatives, but when the rubber hits the road nothing changes. Knowledge is silo’d and getting things done usually falls to the same few helpful employees. The positions also get advertised as one thing but creative license is used, and by the time you realise it’s too late.

Great organisation to work for, caring, supportive and great team environment.
The good thingsGreat organisation with opportunities to grow if you want to and career development is a major focus of the organisation. Supportive management that are willing to listen to their staff.
The challengesPressure to deliver great customer service in all aspects of the company would be the only challenge, no down time in the day, however personally that is a challenge I enjoy, so if you enjoy keeping busy and a sense of achievement and satisfaction at the end of the day, this would be a great company to work for.

You'll watch all the quality employees leave, goals and 'strategy' will change daily and don't expect any thanks or positive acknowledgement.
The good thingsI worked with some very talented colleagues, the systems are unique for the Australian market and I learned a lot about water trading and the place of water in agriculture.
The challengesWould not recommend taking a role at this organisation to anyone I cared about. It has been the most frustrating workplaces I have ever worked in. The stories I told my close friends and family of the day-to-day at Waterfind defied logic, reason and were difficult for them to believe! Watching quality employee after quality employee leave due to incomprehensibly poor management decisions. Meeting upon meeting with senior team members where strategic and sage advice is asked for but ignored over and over. It was an extensive education in 'what not to do'. If you do enter the organisation, you can’t say you haven’t been warned that you either won't be there long, or you are in for a tough time.
